The animations in the ‘Cheap Cheap’ furnies I mentioned earlier on my blog are some of the best I have ever seen in world..this bed for example has a ton of features and is just so much fun for L$50 that we had an impromptu slumber party….see my previous post (two down) for the SLURL and GO NOW!

So, as I hinted at in my previous post I’m going to tell you where I’ve been and why it’s been so quiet on here. I won’t bore you with all the RL drama that’s also been kicking off, suffice to say I’m still not a well Kitty and if it wasn’t for my friends on Second Life keeping me sane, and grounded, I think I’d be in a very sad state indeed.
But I’ve also found another salvation..a furry, twitchy nosed guru that has bunnied my brain into busy mode and unleashed a ferocious appetite upon me for building and content creation, the like of which after almost 4 years in Second Life I had ever given up the hope of seeing.
I am of course talking about the Ozimals bunnies; those indescribably cute, hopping mad little critters that evoke a wide range of passions amongst SL residents. Some love ‘em, some hate ‘em and others couldn’t give a flying fig.
I confess that I fell into the latter category until my friend Altair gave me two beautiful bunnies who I called Sookie and Dexter ( I blogged about them previously if you recall) and I was hooked. Since then I’ve produced some beautiful babies from Sookie and Dex, and bought a couple of bunnies to add to my ever expanding family of hoppers. The ever wonderful Katey Coppola (mad-woman genius designer behind the ‘Glitterati’ pose brand) gifted me four, FOUR stunning buns and I’ve even managed to pass on the habit to Amanda and Sable by presenting them with some of Sookie and Dex’s offspring…and now as you can see I have acquired quite a menagerie in all colours, shapes and sizes. They seem to like being referred to as ‘The Bunny Collective’, which makes me think of some sort of mad, bad Bunny mafia but hey, I’m not going to argue with them. I’ve found a new aspect of my virtual life that proves that even after all this time Second Life can and does continue to surprise. Of course, a huge component of the ‘Lapin Lurgy’ is breeding. I must admit that it is immense fun; bonding bunnies to see what you’ll get is really exciting and although I’m not a hardcore breeder I certainly am developing a stock of bunnies that I’m willing to sell / exchange. It’s difficult not to kindle all the nests that my charges have produced; you really cannot beat the excitement of seeing the little ears poking out of the top of the nest and then wham, as if by magic a bunny baby appears! I’ve become a firm-fan of bunny markets and breeding ranches and love walking around them and seeing the stock on offer..as well as the prices too! The most expensive bunny I saw on sale last week was at the princely sum of L$25k so it’s no wonder with prices like these that people are going to give breeding a go. It’s certainly not an easy thing to get into from what I’m learning so far, but for me the main sticking point will be that it’s actually VERY hard to part with my own nests knowing that they were bred in-house. I just become too attached. (I was the same when my cat had kittens in real life, I struggled to part with them too) The last thing I expected was for it to be so difficult to part company with virtual animals but here’s the rub, these bunnies are a very emotive subject and have a strange ability to endear themselves so much that there becomes no definition between them and real life pets. Just as I adore and care for my cats and my dog in real life, I must log on and ensure that my hoppers are all well-fed and doing just fine. I’ve had three episodes of bunny hibernation thus far and I can tell you that I panicked in a highly preposterous manner, but there it is. I can’t physically reach out and stroke them, yet they have touched my heart all the same.
But it goes further than that, in fact my bunny obsession has led me into an arena that I never anticipated entering and now that I am there I am hooked. Believe it or not, dear reader, I’ve become a fully fledged, paid-up member of the ‘Content Creation Cosa Nostra!’
As you all know I already produce shapes under the ‘Kittylicious’ brand, and blinking good ones they are too (L$25 sale still on folks! Go get ‘em!) but as a direct result of my bunny adventures I find that I’m now expanding into another area which I hope will be just as successful too. This one is a bigger challenge for me though, and that’s because it requires me to develop my building skills, something that I have never tested until these past few weeks. I must confess though that I am DELIGHTED with the results and have had some EPIC feedback and sales on them already! I’m not name dropping or anything but Torley Linden called them ‘adorable’!) Building is not easy, and I’ve shed some genuine tears in RL over my frustration at not being able to achieve what I want due to my extreme thickness but after much practise I can honestly say that I’m getting there, and then some.
So, I want to share with you the fruit of my labours, and it’s with great pleasure that I am introducing you to:
I decided to call my company ‘Blessed Bunnies’ because it hints at my Pagan beliefs whilst acknowledging the fact that for me, these Ozimals bunnies have indeed been a blessing. I’ve not been in a good place in RL recently, but having these bundles of pixelated joy as a focus has started to help bring me back out into the sunlight again, both virtual and real. Obviously I’ll be featuring the products that I make on the blog, but for now if you’d like to check out my range which includes some beautiful shabby chic, and stylish modern designs, please click HERE for my X-Street listings.
Here’s a few examples of my hutches so far; each one is spacious featuring carpets in the side pods and opening and closing doors embellished with tassels.
There are THIRTEEN to choose from, these are some of the most popular so far…
Oh, and each hutch costs L$100. Bunny bargainalicious or what?
CLICK HERE to check the entire range out!
Oh my gosh, you really must zoom on over to CHEAP CHEAP on the Albero sim because everything in the store is a measly L$50 and it is shabby chic heaven! There are some gorgeous wardrobes, quirky desks and book cases.and the textures are simply sublime and utterly perfect for mixy-matchy happy in your home. Must haves for me include the beautiful coffee cups, wall collages, sink with cupboards and the stunning small patchwork table which is perfect for hiding in a Second Life secret space! A lot of the furniture, such as the ‘Sleeping Desk’ have fun built in poses, and be sure to check out the ‘Hidding’ (sic) range. I think I may buy the whole store..

Yes, I know what you’re thinking….you’re thinking “Kitty, where the chuff have you been?”
I’ll explain all that later, but right now I’m squealing with excitement over a number of things so let me tell you about these first before I spontaneously combust with excitement, OK?
Right ho-number one. ARMIDI IS HAVING A SALE!!!
Get up off the floor, dust yourself down and read that again, YES, ARMIDI ARE HAVING A SALE!! Apparently it’s deluged with punters, obviously, so here’s the good bit: YOU CAN SHOP ARMIDI ONLINE! Yes, did you not know? /me slaps you around the chops.
Quit getting hysterical; for the moment you can buy all Armidi’s stock online and here’s the best part ever…
IT’S ALL REDUCED!
I logged in to find a lovely Linden balance that I had forgotten all about from back in the day (epic win!) which meant shopping happy for Kitty! I’ve bought some dresses (to replace ones that I lost in my huge inventory loss, remember that?) and some flat pumps and some separates and I basically laughed in a maniacal style as I purchased from the comfort of my desktop knowing that there’s going to punch-ups and all sorts of drama going down at the Armidi store…sometimes being smug rules:)
*There are rumours flying around that this is actually a closing down sale-I’ve seen no evidence on the website to suggest that but hey, what do I know? ( Well, I DO know that you’d be a fool to miss out on splendid items like this, the Armidi Gisaci Square Cut Linen Mini (Gold) and the equally dazzling Armidi Gisaci Sasche Flats ( also in Gold)
Once I’d finished being all clever, I hopped over to Ticky Tacky to find some nice dangly things to accesorise my look. I don’t think I praise this store enough so right now I’m going to start. It’s a fabulous, quirky and overwhelmingly original jewellery store that you MUST visit. (Kittyfact: Each time I hear the name I remember hearing in-world a very odd song sung by a seemingly elderly woman describing a ‘ticky-tacky’. If you’ve ever heard it you’ll know what I mean, but whenever I visit that song appears in my head and consequently drives me right round the chuffing twist. Incidentally I don’t believe I was at Ticky Tacky when I heard it…) Anyway, they have some utterly wondrous items in their rather gorgeous main store which is at Gaylord @ Starlust.
When you visit, because you would be silly not to, be sure to take your time and go around the entire store because there are some extremely beautiful jewellery sets out for sale as well as some bargain essentials such as a gold and silver hoop earring set for a Linden. (An inventory essential if ever there was one!) They also do a cracking line in bangles: as I’ve said before I MUST have bangles/jewellery to hide the manky wrist bones that we’re all blessed with in SL because they drive me mad, and Ticky Tacky have an awesome selection.
Incidentally the necklace that I’m wearing is a special today as part of the ‘Saturday Night Fever’ sales event. It’s called ‘Undercover Lover’ and costs a measly L$40 for the next 24 hours (Actually you have much less time than that I am afraid seeing as I’m only just blogging it!)
It’s available in three awesome metal shades: Gold, Silver and Iron.
Ticky Tacky is also currently participating in the ‘Car Wash Cart Sale’. This bi-annual event takes it’s name from the Car Wash sim, and if you pop along you’ll find a vast array of items on offer for L$10 apiece. Quality does vary, but I picked up a few items while I was there, although in my opinion the Ticky Tacky and the Aqua stalls are probably the best of the lot.
Finally, I must mention the style that I am seriously rocking in these images. This hair is to absolutely bloody well die for…
It’s from CLAWTOOTH and the style is called ‘Louise Brooks’ and the shade is Softest Black. If you don’t know who Louise was, she was a silent era star and a style icon, plus OMD wrote a song about her too called ‘Pandora’s Box’ (Click to watch the video which features her, I’ve *always* been a fan. The picture above features Louise, wasn’t she a beauty?)
Anyway, the style was part of the Fifty Linden Friday offering this week, but even if it wasn’t I’d have snapped it up because it is a perfect bob. I LOVE the shape at the back: great care has been taken to create the effect of the bob shape and the clipped back and it works beautifully. I love hair that on first glance seems so simple, yet obviously took a lot of work to make it so..it’s a proper ‘bobby dazzler’
I’ll get my coat…
Dress: ARMIDI Square Cut Linen Mini (Gold)
Shoes: ARMIDI Gisaci ‘Sasche’Flats ( also in Gold)
Hair: CLAWTOOTH ‘Louise Brooks’
Shape: KITTYLICIOUS ‘Sophie’ (Coming Soon!)
Skin: LAQ ‘Elena’ (03-Cocoa)
Spectacles: DECO ‘Cat’s Meow’
Jewellery: TICKY TACKY Everyday Hoops in Gold, ‘Turbinado’ Glitter Bangle Set, ‘Undercover Lover’ necklace in Gold
Nails: EYE CANDI nail polish in Black
Eyes: SLINK ‘Eyescream’ eyes in Light Brown
( SLURL’s to be added..if you’re in a hurry use search, apparently it’s been fixed..snigger..)
It feels so strange that you aren’t here, and only yesterday that you were, even though that’s sadly not the case.
I think about you every day: there are photos of you all over in both RL and SL, and even though the pain of losing you isn’t as raw as it once was I still miss you desperately.
I was laughing today at stuff we used to do, for example when we couldn’t stop saying ‘I Love Lamp’, and I saw some new varieties of Nag Champa incense and immediately thought ‘Oooh! Dee would love that!’ Don’t even get me started on the Ozimals bunnies, you’d have gone chuffing potty over them:) In fact SL has changed so much but I know you would have been so active in it and doing so many
things..I’m pretty sure I would have found it hard to keep up.
I love it that I can remember our conversations and laughs and the things you loved (and hated) because when I see certain things I can recall what your reaction would be, and that helps keep you around for me.
I’ll be lighting a candle for you and some Nag Champa, your fave, next to your photo and saying a wee prayer of thanks for the fact that I had you as my beloved friend, and even though you are gone I am forever grateful for the time that we shared.
You lit up so many lives Dionne and those flames that will never be extinguished, just like the star in the sky above us that bears your name. Love you Dee xxx
Haven’t posted much since Friday, and for that I apologise, but I’ve been catering to my burgeoning bunny collective!
Well, that’s how I feel about Truth hair, because at the moment I definitely feel like Mr Hawks is spoiling us and then some. He’s released another FOUR styles this week and I’m wobbling with excitement! (Alas I could only splurge on one due to the blinking car failing her MOT this morning..GAHHH) This one is ‘Kalista’ and it is a thing of beauty.
Regular readers will know about my Truth hair obsession ( there is NO cure) and my tendency to refer to his new streak-enhanced styles as ‘Bacon Hair’, because they’re streaky and nommable.
(I know, in my mind you’re thinking “Dear Lord, what a wit! Mark Twain and Charles Dickens must be shaking in their tombs!” when actually you’re thinking “Lame..” Just humour me ok? You should be used to it by now.. ) Well, this takes meaty hairstyles up a notch. This isn’t JUST Bacon Hair my friends, this is the finest bacon, probably sourced from golden happy pigs and oak smoked by pixies or some other woodland Fae folk because we’ve moved on from not one but TWO sets of streaks that change colour !!! YAYYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAY!! GET IN!
As you can see it looks bloody fantastic. You can really co-ordinate your look just that little bit more and beeven more amazing than usual with just the click of a coupl of buttons on a menu..no fuss, no hassle and it makes Ferrero Rocher look like dust covered-weasel pissballs, if there is such a phenomenom. ( A delicacy in some quarters, so I hear)
So, go and check out ‘Kalista’ on Truth’s blog, and follow the links to that style and Rylan, Rylan 2 and Layla (epic name, epic bunches!) and click on each to buy them at XStreet, thus avoiding the store-scrummage. Personally I feel it is high time he was knighted for services to hair.
Sir Truth, we are not worthy to lick your boots and I for one salute you! ( MOAR BACON HAIRRR PLEASE!!!!)
I know this isn’t SL related, and for that I will make amends by my following post, but I had to share this, and seeing as it’s my blog where better to say thank you to some very special people?
Today has the potential to be the ‘Day From Hell’
For starters I barely slept last night so I’m completely knackered. I’m still in pain from my surgery, stressed out and feeling so poorly most days that I just don’t want to engage with the universe at large. To compound it all, I’ve had to drive the car to the garage for her MOT, and painful isn’t the word (Driving is near on impossible at the moment following stitches in the unmentionables)
Cup of tea and a cry when I get in, accompanied by MAJOR sulk. Knock at door. Beloved’s parcel has arrived (he gets deliveries every day due to his rampant retro console collection habit)
Only, this parcel isn’t for him, it’s for me? It says the magic word ‘CAKE’ on the front..cake?
It’s my mums birthday tomorrow, I didn’t order her a cake, and I haven’t been pissed in ages so I know for a fact that I haven’t been drunken E-buying…
Tentatively I open the parcel to be greeted by beautiful red box tied with ribbon. What the hell is this? It can’t be from beloved, he never buys me random presents, so what can it be?
Open box to see gold paper and a smell that can only be described as the ambrosia-tinged scent of angel poop (That’s a GOOD thing BTW) wafts into the air and hits my nostrils.
Indiana ( My doggy daughter) starts bouncing around the kitchen in a way that makes me think some warlock has cast an evil spell upon her.
I open the wrapping and what do I see?
(To be said in Michael Caine voice) “CUPCAKES. THOUSANDS OF ‘EM!” (Well, a dozen but bloody hell!)
All the colours of the rainbow and absolutely gorgeous, I’ve had just *ONE* and I think I’ve had an epiphany!
Thank you so very much, from the bottom of my heart, for making me smile on an utterly crappo day, which is likely to get even worse as I am expecting a call to tell me my car has failed her MOT.
You are the truest of friends and I have no words to adequately describe how touched I am by what you’ve done xxxx
So I made two pictures instead to show the world what I will be making myself very sick on later:)
The Sacred Cauldron sim is one of the busiest Pagancentric sims in the metaverse, with an enthusiastic team of spiritually-inclined avatars who work together to provide a spiritual retreat within the confines of Second Life.
Actually, they do this exceptionally well, and one of the nicest services that they perform are the daily morning meditations. At 6am SLT (that’s 2pm UK) every morning, in the Artemis Shrine, they perform a daily blessing via voice. Avatars assemble and take a seat as one of the attending priestesses reads ‘The Charge Of The Goddess.’ (Obviously you need to have the voice function enabled to hear her)
After the reading of the charge, each avatar types into chat a message expressing gratitude for something in their lives that they are especially thankful for upon that day, or alternatively asking for strength from the Goddess. It’s a relaxed atmosphere so you can pretty much go with the flow. Finally attendees are led on a guided meditation to raise energy for the day ahead. It’s a lovely way to pass thirty minutes and there is a genuine feeling of warmth amongst the group that assembles, and as you can see by the picture there are always plenty of participants! I try and visit whenever I can really recommed it. Incidentally, Belladonna Arrowroot is usually in attendence and she is High Priestess of the Covenant of WISE, Church of Wicca. Belladonna is lovely and very approachable, not at all grandiose as some Pagan hierarchy can be, plus she has her own website which I highly recommend. Oh, and a final note..my hands tingle like mad when I attend rituals in-world, and were absolutely buzzing after this. I presume this is because I’m Reiki attuned, but I’d be interested to read if any other SL Pagan folk experience the same! Let me know on the comments section below if you do, and I very much hope to see you there..oh, and be sure to sign up for news and messages from the Scared Cauldron and Pagan News groups while you are on site! ( Group joining boards can be found here)
I haven’t done a ‘Witchy Wednesday’ for a couple of weeks- apologies for that. Oftentimes it’s because I haven’t found a killer item to share, or a new location that you simply have to visit. This week though I’ve been trolling through Xstreet instead, and I wanted to feature the work of one particular creator that I really like, Bryanna Morgath.
Bryanna makes fabulous items at very Witch-friendly prices.
There are thirteen (count em!) pages of her creations upon X-Street, and her work varies from jewellery with a Pagan bent, stained glass paintings, full altar sets, BOS and individual witch items including candles, chalices, geodes and athames.
I wanted to tell you about two of her creations today.
First up is her rather wonderful ‘Goddess Garden Table’. This is a very pretty item to feature on a patio, or if you don’t have a garden in Second Life it brings a touch of the outdoors in for you to enjoy.
This is a purely decorative item, but don’t let that put you off please because it features great textures and is beautifully arranged and acts as a gentle way of displaying your spiritual inclinations towards visitors to your dwelling. I also appreciate the fact that this comes with a temp rezzer, resulting in this item, when placed correctly, being just one prim in value!
I’ve actually installed mine in a corner in my sky box, as you can see from the photo.
The Garden table contains following items:
- 6 pots with plants
- Goddess statue
- Silver candles
- 3 gold pentagrams
- some leaves and nuts
- 3 crystal pointers.
As I stated before this is a decorative item only so you can’t remove items from the table surface, but it really doesn’t detract from the worthiness of this piece. Altars are ten a penny, but this is something different and very special indeed, perfect for Hedgewitches! It costs L$102 from Xstreet.
In fact, Bryanna, if you’re reading this I have a request please? Please can you create a companion item to the Goddess Garden in the shape of a small altar? ( I already have the large one that you make but I feel a co-coordinating altar set-up would be a real bonus, especially if the same technology is applied)
I must also honourably mention her BOLINES.
No, I’m not being rude!
A boline is a special, sacred knife used by witches to cut herbs and flowers for placement upon the altar, to be used as offerings or for use in spell work. It’s traditionally white-handled with a curved, crescent shaped blade. I’ve seen many bolines in real life; some are huge scythe-like affairs that can do serious damage, while others are small, tiny almost. A lot of times they are used as decoration rather than in any ritual work, but they’re a great addition to any Witches inventory in real life or second, and luckily for us Bryanna makes and sells two rather lovely examples.
First up is a non-scripted gorgeous ‘Chakra Boline’, featuring crystals upon the blade that co-ordinate in gemstone colours with the chakra points upon the human body. It’s a very simple, elegant bolin which is nicely textured and is a highly affordable L$49.
Slighty more special is her beautiful ‘Gemstone Boline’ Again, this costs L$49 but it has a lot of features. Every prim is texture changeable; there are 52 different gems in total, 4 different stones, 21 different metals and 12 different symbols including the Pentacle, Triquetra and Eye Of Horus amongst others. It’s an absolute bargain for the price and perfect to use in ritual. I’d seriously recommend this if you have a coven in-world, and even if you don’t I personally feel that it’s a must have for any Second Life Witch.
So there you go, some essential items from Bryanna Morgath, and I strongly suggest you check these out along with the rest of her collection very soon..I’m very sure that you’ll be ‘Kitty pleased’ that you did!
PS Bryanna has a store in-world too..It’s at the fabulous ‘Trading Post’ Area upon Gaia Rising.
