Pentacle Heaven at Cad + Tart

Ok, I’ve been a tad neglectful of the WITCHY part of Kittywitchin’ recently.  Not intentional I can assure you , but I hope to make up for it now by sharing some rather fabbo finds with you all.

First things first, Kat Alderson is a chum of mine.  An unbelievably nice lady and exceptionally talented creator to boot, I hadn’t seen her around much recently so decided to pick her brains on a technical query earlier today as I knew, being clever and all that, she’d have the answer. Not only the answer, but she also showed me the jewellery that she’s been working on recently and it is grand.  In fact, I’m happy to share some pieces with you know, because as I’m sure you know every Pagan needs a pentacle, and especially so in Second Life.

Kat shared some rather beautiful pentacle necklaces that she has been working on for ‘Cad + Tart’ The first one is a sublime choker, called ‘Marguerite’s Choker’ and it fits like a dream….I usually struggle to adjust the shape and fit of items but this one was really easy, scarily so in fact! Pretty isn’t it?I love the combination of metals and the chunky chain..it’s a bit of a corker if you ask me:)

Pentacle

The second photograph shows me wearing an inverted pentacle on a silver chain and a wrist cuff. (This is Antha’s Necklace and one of a pair of Cortland’s Cuffs.)

Contrary to popular belief, inverted pentacles do not mean that you worship the Devil..necessarily.  It’s true that some Satanist covens like to appropriate the pentacle in this way, perhaps because of its inherent controversy in this guise, but it also holds that in some Wiccan degree systems the inverted pentacle represents the attainment of the 2nd Degree of learning. Whatever your thoughts it’s a powerful symbol, and also a very attractive one.  Kat has made hers even more stunning by rendering it in a very delicate fashion, with a stunning chain that appears to sparkle. I guess the reason I like it so much because it reminds me of the very first pentacle I acquired..(Dee gave it to me:)

The cuff is again beautifully made with gorgeous chunky prims and a great texture choice for the band, which makes it look totally authentic. I think these are aimed at the fella’s more than the ladies, but to be honest as you can see they wear pretty well on me..so don”t be put off ! To sum up then you can never have enough pentacles in all shapes and sizes, but if it’s quality you’re after then you’d be well advised to drop by Cad + Tart to see what’s in store….trust me, I think you’ll be very satisfied:)
