Weekend Exploits…

Weekend Exploits…

I had one of the busiest weekends I’ve had in a very long time!  It was HUGE fun though, in more ways than one.  For a start, Jez..yes JEZ..actually appeared in game!  Ok it was only for half an hour, and purely because I’d hassled him into it, but it was lovely to spend a little  bit of time in-world with him for a change.  We explored a Japanese style sim, did a bit of shopping and I ended up buying myself the new and rather fabulous Gritty Kitty art bag.  It is an exceptional creation, with lots of stylish touches.  Paint splatters, keyrings, even an I-Pod shuffle on the strap. Well worth the L$400 ( We’d initially planned to buy Jez the bag, but he changed his mind in the end.  No matter because it  looks far better on me anyway!!)with Jez off to play silly beggars in WoW, I went to the local and danced my cares away… Saturday saw me reporting for ‘The Avastar’ on the opening of the Moscow sim.  I strongly suggest that you check it out as well because  it is beautifully constructed and well worth supporting.  The architects have re-created Red Square in all its glory, and I was especially impressed by Lenin’s tomb where  you can even go in and see him lying in state! My full report will be in this week’s Avastar as per usual.  It was fun trying to communicate with the locals who mainly consisted of non-english speaking Russians, but I think we managed to chat rather well. I was made to feel amazingly welcome, and even though it was just a virtual sample of world famous Russian hospitality I was hugely impressed  ( Don’t you just love the t’internet? I was googling Russian phrases like mad!) £l again for Saturday night, which saw a wedding reception in the sunken garden for Richy Nervous and his lovely bride, Apple.  A splendid evening was had by all, with live DJ’s Bailey D, Bailey L and a dog interrupting their live -links thus reducing the girls to fits of giggles.  It all got very silly as the evening wore on.  I guess it was all the SL and RL booze that was being consumed and eventually pink strap-ons appeared…ahem. ( I took no photos of that because I am classy.  Unlike Aribeth who took photos and you can see them on her Flickr stream.  Not that I’m encouraging you to witness such debauchery!)  To wrap things up on Sunday I went to see Thumper Boucher in 3L ,aspreviously reported further down the page,  and he played an excellent  live set.  What a stonking SL weekend, woot!
