Just while I was compiling my last post…

…about the Fash Con group I received the following notecard via it from Chigadee London, and she’s been rather smashing and created the following freebie:

The ‘I Broke Through the wall Kit’

Yep, I  braved ETD and LC sales but it wasn’t easy!  You need to do a few tricks including taking off your hair, YIKES!
To help us all shop our hearts out, I designed a base hair bandana beret for you to wear so you don’t look bald! I also made up an invaluable tip sheet on how to best get in and shop in these packed sims.
Drop by my Mad About Hats to pick your official I Broke Through The Wall kit which is sitting on the middle counter.
GOOD LUCK, BONNE CHANCE and have a drink before!

(Of course I could be a TOTAL show off and say I’ve already done both sales, but I’m not like that ;P )

When you get your pack you’ll find that she’s also compiled some great hints and tips to assist you when you decide to brave the sales. Good on her I say!

Here’s a SLURL DIRECTLY to it…have a look at her rather smashing hats while you are at it too!

SNATCH! ( No, not what you’re thinking..sigh…)

SNATCH! ( No, not what you’re thinking..sigh…)

I can’t remember how or why I ended up joining the ‘Fashion Consolidated’ group, but I do know it was one of my better decisions. Here’s an example of why you may have to sacrifice membership of another group to join it. If it wasn’t for my being a member I wouldn’t have received an update from ‘Snatch’, which piqued my curiosity and sent me to their store. I had never been before and it is FAB ( they have a great blog too-http://snatch-sl.blogspot.com) The notecard also alerted me to the fact that this store has a subscribe-o-matic (They should give a knighthood to whoever came up with that concept, I’m having to turn down so many group invites at the moment because of that darned 25 groups only limit)which I have just joined, gone into the history and gotten myself this amazing wee ensemble for NOWT. ( That is the jacket, belt and skirt. Shoes are from Refuge and stockings/socks are from Dutch Touch) Moral of the story is do a search on groups and join ‘Fashion Consolidated’. You do have days where you get deluged by notecards but trust me it really is worth it-the group will introduce you to new designers, offers and freebies galore. Which is especially useful when you skint yourself at a certain sale…which I’m hearing is still on-going and still packed!
Last Call Clothing Sale-MOST items L$100..

Last Call Clothing Sale-MOST items L$100..

I managed to get in, crashed 3 times, took *everything* off..and I succeeded in getting exactly what I wanted!
It’s rammed in the sim and the store and if you’re going to go there wearing all sorts of prim attachments then you only have yourself to blame when nothing works for you and you get lynched by the mobs, *BUT* that aside, you simply must go, or else you will miss masterpieces like this utter beauty for just L$100. *TIP* Getting married? There are three wedding gowns there for just a hundred lindens each, so go grab! Even if you aren’t planning on getting wed yet it is just so wrong not to get them, I mean look at the detail on the one I am wearing in the picture above. Also if you’re looking for Bridesmaid gowns then there are plenty of beautiful items that you can choose from and a vast array of colours.  This is certainly a sale to go to if you are planning a SL wedding on the cheap..and SL weddings can be very costly affairs indeed. ( Oh, and the bouquets are just L$50 as well.  Most items are non transfer mind, so take your wedding party with you. Don’t forget menswear is included so your chap can go get his tux)  At this point let me advise that not all items are L$100, shoes have already been featured in their own sale, and the Catwalk collection items are L$300. Either way, it’s the SL event of the year so far in my book.
Second Life will never be the same without Last Call. Buy what you can, wear often and cherish it.
