I’ve been to a marvellous party…

I have had a rather super birthday weekend. The party on Friday was so much fun, Krystal Devonshire and DJ Cyberpink provided some absolutely amazing 80’s choonage, and it was so good that..get ready for this..Jez stayed in world with me until 2am!! He never bloody well logs into Second Life, let alone stay in world for any particular length of time, so that was a huge achievement ( and it meant so much to me too x) The music was gob-smackingly good, and I was seriously hammered as well..ahem, something I didn’t realise until I clambered upstairs to my real life bed. I’d actually polished off the best part of two bottles of red during the 4 hours of the party…This is the thing though, sometimes it’s very ‘dangerous’ to drink whilst in world, because you honestly have no idea how much you have imbibed as you keep replenishing your glass willy-nilly. (Mike Mission was the best SL drunk I ever heard during the last ever party at the 3L(prior to it’s reopening, obviously) He was doing a live set and rambling on in-between the records before suddenly *silence* He’d passed out: in real life! I still chuckle at the memory!))So I awoke on Saturday to some fabulous presents, lots of cards, and a minor hangover. Amongst my amazing gifts were a spa day courtesy of Whoosh and Starfire (Oh my god-six hours of pampering! Can you imagine?) and Jez got me my Space Navigator! The learning curve isn’t that steep but obviously being incredibly clumsy I am finding it slightly hard to get used to, so please, if you see me flailing around the grid don’t be alarmed..to finish off my birthday Jez and I went for a meal and it was just culinary perfection par excellence. I actually think I had a multiple food-gasm, and again we enjoyed some very fine Chilean red before we wobbled home. I’ve probably drunk more red wine this weekend than I ever have in my entire life, but hey-I’m not complaining!

I’m also *very* excited as well because I got a surprise from Jez that I haven’t recovered from! ( No, not that kind of surprise!) We’re going to see ‘Hamlet’ at the RSC next Wednesday!!!! OH MY GOD!!!! Not only is it an RSC production in their flagship theatre which is of course in Stratford-upon-Avon, BUT it stars David Tennant AND Patrick Stewart to boot…geekette that I am I’m expecting to be very moist at seeing these two on stage. I’m four rows from the front as well, which is close enough to shout in a loud and happy fashion; “Come on David, show us yer Tardis!” Of course I wouldn’t do that in the RSC because that would be very uncouth, and contrary to popular belief I am actually extremely clever and lady-like…

Shurrup laughing…..

So, normal blog service will be resumed forthwith dear reader! I’m off to spend the L$10000 that my lovely friend Lilias Benoir dropped on me..

I’ve worked out that it will take me all of five minutes to spend it:)

WOOTLES!!!

Weeee!!!

Weeee!!!

So the birthday is almost here..yay! I’m busying myself looking for outfits to wear at the 80’s party that you, dear reader, will of course be attending. (Here’s a kitty- tip, just type ’80’s’ or ’80’s Fashion’ into SLX for some ideas) I’ve pretty much decided what look I’m going for and will be having a mad rummage in my inventory later to see if I can some up with a suitably backcombed/frizzy/banana-clipped nightmare to stick on my bonce. OH, and here’s a shocker for you..JEZ IS COMING!
I know! Stoppit!! Scary huh? I actually think he’ll have forgotten how to use Second Life, and I’m sure he’ll do nothing but berate it for the entirity of his stay.. But don’t tell him this.. it will be lovely to have him there…..

Kitty likes MALT

Kitty likes MALT

(My mum used to give me this weird yummy malt extract stuff on a spoon as a kid..wonder if you can still get it? I’ll ask her, she probably has a jar from 1978 festering away in a cupboard) Ahem. Malt is a store that I have never frequented before. More fool me, because it’s a bloody cracker. I got a notice about a fashion show and seeing as I had bugger all else going on I thought I’d pop along and investigate, and oh boy am I a pleased Kitty! The store is gorgeous, designer Khea Karas has done an excellent job, and the fashion show was well presented and choreographed (three models, alas daft chuff that I am I didn’t jot down their names, but they were the best models I’ve seen in Second Life to date) I liked the way that the seating was laid out; comfy cushions loosely placed around the catwalk which was in-turn suspended over a floor with water underneath..it looked lovely. I settled down and got myself ready for what was an utterly delightful presentation featuring lots of signature pieces including…wait for it…BABYDOLL DRESSES! Now, you ALL know how I feel about babydolls, so it’s Kitty confession time…I think these are FABBO! (They’re called Tyrilha and cost L$250, and are described as short and long babydoll dress and top)Wanna know why? Well, not only are the textures and colours smashing, but the babydoll hem is assymetric and it just makes them look *so* much better. Seriously, I hate these kinds of frocks and I’m ruddy well wearing one and LOVING it! (Incidentally, the one that I’m wearing in Gold is FREE in store right now, I know you can’t see the hemline but just trust me on this ok? This babydoll does not make you look eight and a half months gone:) Other highlights from the show were the swimsuit combos(Evangalea, L$250)  which also feature babydoll attachments that mean the swim suits can be dressed up or down, or even worn with jeans, skirts and trousers, making them perfect for mixing and matching and of course meaning more outfit for your Linden dollar. I also loved the jackets, belt-scarves and bags in store and could have spent a small fortune there. I’m even going to stick my neck out here and say that I actually think this Tyrilha babydoll dress is the shape of the season! I know! Trust me reader – I’ve not ingested any funny mushrooms or anything, and I still stand by my suggestion that the majority of babydoll dresses in world are uber-minging..but this is a great dress. It just *works*  I also heartily recommend that you join the in-store group as there were some sensational freebies distributed to group members during the show…oh, and a final note-I have no idea what’s happened to this picture as it certainly didn’t look like this when I was fannying about on my Flickr..but like the babydoll I think this looks rather good too! There’s a hint of California about the whole look if you ask me..I think all my recent headaches must be having an effect. I wouldn’t normally style myself like this, but I was just messing around with the reams of hairstyles in my inventory and thrust (ooer missus!) this one upon my bonce, and it just ‘fit’. I think there’s an Eva Longoria vibe going on here…ANYWAY..Malt, go there NOW!

( Kitty PS..check out the cardi and cargo shorts in this pic…nice huh?)
