..just for a few days I’m off for a short break down to London for a culture injection.  Hopefully I’ll get to take in a show, visit the British Museum for the umpteenth time and get very, very drunk.  I’m sure you’re going to miss me dreadfully and will be at a complete loss for what to do with yourselves without me to entertain you but fear not dear reader, here’s a suggestion to keep you occupied until I return next week, and that is..HUNT YOURSELF SILLY!

Yes, it’s a veritable banquet on a stick of hunts in summer and many start 01 June.  Scroll down the page and you’ll see my mention of the ‘Make Him Over Hunt’ ,but just so you know the ‘SL Discovery Hunt’ is STILL ON until June 30th. The aptly titled ‘OMG it’s another hunt’ begins tomorrow. It’s supposed to be about having fun this one, so look for the cupcakes and expect something silly as your reward. The ‘Fun in the Sun‘ hunt is all about items to enjoy outdoors and that begins  01 June and lasts until the 30th.  Look out for beachballs for that one!  Finally, there’s a hunt called ‘Bedtime Treasures’ that will again be running throughout June .  A heads up; ‘Agent Orange’ is going to be featuring items in some of these hunts, and of particular interest is the news that their gift for ‘Bedtime Treasures’ will be based on the book, ‘Where The Wild Things Are’.  ( This will also be followed up by a ‘Max’ pyjama/avatar in the very near future..so if you’re a fan, look out!)

I’ve just found a great blog that will keep you up to date with all things hunt-related, called ‘SLHunts’ 

make sure you also check out ‘The Hunt Locations’ which currently features a massive post relating to the ‘Through The Looking Glass’ hunt that is on through July.

Lots to keep you occupied then, but be careful you don’t get huntstroke!  Oh, and if you can’t be bothered with all this hunting malarky, how about a pyjama party at Republik instead?  I’m hoping Amanda is reading this so she can reply in comments  with the details because I’ve forgotten start-times but I do know that it’s a Candy Girls event happening tomorrow and should be an absolute scream..so make sure you get your best jim-jams ready! (Obviously I won’t be there so have a great time for me!)

..because there’s *another* hunt about to take the grid by storm, although this one is a bit different.  You’ll have to pay an upfront fee to participate.  Outrageous? Well…I don’t think so, not when you consider the quality of items up for finding.  Of course it all depends how much it will cost to enter, BUT I have a feeling that this one has potential…Check out this link and see what you think!

I’ve already found plenty of amazingness on this hunt, and I’ll share some of it with you during some forthcoming blog posts.  First off, check out the website to read up all about this wonderful hunt adventure. The hunt will last from 01 May-June 30th, so PLENTY of time to find all the wonderfulness! Here’s the important bit though, don’t forget to share your love with all the vendors that are included, and don’t forget that it’s always nice to drop a note of thanks to the organisers, in this case they are: Audra Siemens, Jenneh Thursday or Ikonn Giano.

Readers, this hunt features OVER 500 items, it’s a fantastic achievement, particularly at a time when a lot of us are feeling the pinch and need something to cheer us up! Happy Hunting!

I really must apologise to the lovely Lawra, creator extraordinaire behind the smashing ‘Nekorifik’ label, as she dropped a review box on me on the 27th of October and navel-gazing numpty that I am I’ve only just remembered:) Glad I have though-it’s great seeing how she’s developing as a designer and her work just keeps getting better and better! I’m LOVING the textures that she’s chosen for her Autumn collection of separates, and the detailing is very good indeed. She always excels on the shading and creases and I’m very impressed by how she’s constantly improving these key skills. Something else that has cheered me no end is the inclusion of denim in her latest collection. I don’t wear jeans much in SL, but the pair that Lawra has released this season are perfect! In this picture I’ve teamed her green argyle sweater with the fantastic Aoharu military coat, and some ETD hair ( Roxie in Auburn) with a pose by Reel Expressions. It’s worth mentioning at this juncture that BOTH Reel Expressions and ETD have superb sales on at the moment which you really need to check out asap. Last but not least, the skin I’m wearing is the mystery dollarbie skin by *Ki2* which I snaffled during the Starlust hunt. It finishes today, so you need to get your skates on to participate, but your task is to collect rubbish through 4 sims of utter madness! Fantastic builds and fabulous shops featuring some of the best designers in SL have meant that the hunt has been packed out with avatars and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve crashed out-but trust me it’s been worth every decibel I’ve exclaimed in frustration! If you want to quickly have a go, the ‘Giant Trash Hunt’ includes the following sims: Floyd,Lloyd,Horst and Polly Jean and includes great pressies such as skins, poses and clothing galore.
