..at this point I have to confess I’m not a fan of Jack Vettriano, But I AM a fan of Tribute Island. It’s just such a wonderful concept, a lasting virtual tribute to those that we’ve loved and lost from spheres as diverse as film and literature to servicemen and women who have fallen in wars both recent and in the past. I’ve blogged it before, quite a few times, but it continues to offer the jaded virtual traveller something new and interesting to enjoy…and enjoy it I did on Friday, as the island hosted a concert by Second Life musician and singer/songwriter Cylindrian Rutabaga, who performed a tribute to Eva Cassidy. I was alas a little late, which meant I missed her cover of ‘Fields of Gold’ ( I’d wanted to hear that as it was played at Dee’s funeral) but I still had a thoroughly wonderful time. I even got to try out my tango with the Island’s director, Nikk Huett, and if you look very carefully you’ll spot a wee ratty friend on his shoulder. He was very good on his feet too! You’ll find a link to Nikk’s blog, ‘Lactose the Intolerant’ on my blogroll to the left and it’s well worth a visit:)

Always a pleasure Ms. O’Tool π
