Skin Fair 2019 ‘Lust For Life’

Skin Fair 2019 has kicked off and it’s a blooming belter this year, it really is.  Getting in is ALWAYS a nightmare in the first few days, you may as well try walking through treacle, but I DID manage to swerve on by and snaffle the BOLD & BEAUTY ‘Lana’ skin. I’d previously tried demos (being a member of the Pale Girl Productions Info Group  means you have access to all the demos so that you can try them in the comfort of your home)

The publicity photos had me at ‘Hello’ because you can practically be Lana Del Ray, but I don’t want to be, I’m Kitty, and the virtual world is way too full of wannabe Kims and Kylies as is. However, I liked the styling of the skin so decided to give it a whirl and fell in love. It just worked beautifully on my Genus Project Baby Head (I’m currently into Genus heads in a BIG way) UntitledOn my head/shape, it works incredibly well; giving a classic feel to my Genus Project ‘Baby’ Head.  Incidentally, there’s a Genus ‘Strong’ Head available at Skin Fair, I haven’t invested BUT I did try it and it’s a bit of a corker, give it a whirl. While I was at the event I also tried the LAQ ‘Ivy’ head, which I mentioned in my previous post. It’s a lovely head if you’re after that kind of anime styling, but you can also adjust it with your shape sliders to make it a little less avant-garde. Again, a great head but I haven’t indulged.

Back to the skin on which I did indulge; I really like the way it’s drawn although I’m going to try some different brows (I’m into virtual brows in a huge way; I can’t explain it, don’t ask) and I also need to try with some extra makeups, but as a base it’s beautiful and I’ve been wearing it less than 24 hours but have gotten compliments on it, which is always a plus!

Another skin you definitely SHOULD test at SKIN FAIR 2019 is the new PINK FUEL ‘Emiri’ skin.    It’s gorgeous and I came very close to purchasing it but would have needed to purchase new body appliers as well and seeing as I already had the BOLD & BEAUTY ones that kind of made my purchasing decision for me.  However, don’t let my buying decisions influence yours, we all know Mochi Milena is one of the best skin creators on the grid and you should definitely drop by her Skin Fair kiosk and indulge your senses.

What do you think to my hair in this photograph? It’s not often I indulge in long hairstyles, they have to be something pretty darn special and this ‘Intrepid’ style from STEALTHIC for COLLABOR88 is just that. Why haven’t I discovered STEALTHIC until now? Navel-gazing again, eh Kitty? Well, better late than never. What I particularly like about this style is the tousled layers, the ability to change the style via a styling HUD, and the seriously cute baby hairs on the forehead.  I took a chance on the ‘Ombres’ HUD and I’m mighty pleased that I did, I can see myself getting a LOT of wear out of this and will be visiting the main store very soon to try some other styles. I’m currently drooling over the Flickr feed and note that long hair is clearly STEALTHIC‘s speciality and I can’t wait to try some more. Seriously, go and give this one a shot. You can really tell that time and care has been taken during the development of this style and the chunky waves fall in a beguiling manner, framing the face perfectly. I’m in love, can you tell? It’s also a bloody bargain at 288L each (there are six colour packs available) and it’s just 988L fatpack.

Last but not least I’m living for this gorgeous ‘Juliet’ frock which was the VALENTINA E contribution to this week’s FIFTY LINDEN FRIDAY round.  It’s a truly lovely dress, with plenty of details and even a metal colour change HUD. It’s stylish, on-trend and incredibly pretty and it’s almost a crime that it’s just L$50. It’s still available at the main store at the time of writing so RUN and get it!
