I thought I’d share with you..

I thought I’d share with you..

..a sneaky-peek from a new series of promo shots that I’m working on.

This is the promo for my ‘Selina’ shape…a bit special isn’t it? In this shot I am wearing the new hair from Truth, ‘Farah’, in Caramel.  It’s an iconic hairstyle and he’s recreated it beautifully!

I’m also wearing the LAQ Lacie skin, which is quite simply one of the best so far. Very happy Kitty indeed.

All my old promos are currently in store but I’m working on changing them to this new style over the next few days…eeep!

If  you’re interested, the ‘Selina’ shape retails at L$100, and I think it looks fierce with this hair and skin combo..

Jus’ Sayin’!

Kitty LOVES “Beanie Loves Japan”

Kitty LOVES “Beanie Loves Japan”

Because if I didn’t I’d miss out on some seriously wonderful items that a lot of the other fashion blogs don’t care to mention

If you’ve never read it, then go into the kitchen, get a spatula and wallop yourself around the head a few times muttering the mantra, ” I will visit ‘Beanie Loves Japan” until you feel that your brain has fully got the message. (Depending on your skull density it may take a while, I was in there half an hour once until Jez got fed up and yanked the spatuala away because he needed to stir the soup.)Now, put the spatula back, don’t worry about the bruise, and let me tell you why you need to visit this blog as a priority.
Beanie blogs about the Asian themed content that is available on the grid. Not just Japan either, but also China, Korea, Malaysia..you get the drift I’m sure. This means a varied collection of topics are covered upon her pages; from amazing old-man avatars to skins to hair to furniture to that special kind of madness that you can only find in Japan. Readers, *it’s wonderful* – beanie writes with great humour and no flannel and has found some absolutely corking items on her travels. Not everything that Beanie features is free ( although a lot is) BUT rest assured it is all nommy!
For example, this week I’ve got myself some amazing free skins (and I am an utter skin snob so the fact that I plan to wear them on a regular basis should reassure you of their scrumminess)
I also got a cracking Goth table for free (works perfect as an altar:), a myriad of cracking poses and BEST of all in my opinion is this set of ears and tail..which are not only utterly beautiful with their jewellery and rose accents but the tail is *scripted*. Yes, I got these FOR FREE. I didn’t need to sell any body parts; which is good as I’m running out, and I really don’t think anyone will buy what’s left. Ahem.
In case you doubted the quality, here I am wearing an outfit by LAST CALL (pure SL vintage wear and doesn’t it look fabulous?) teamed with the latest skin release from LAQ, along with some new hair from Magika. These wonderful freebies match perfectly, don’t you think? This is why you should NEVER look down your nose at the freebie/cheapie blogs. Plenty of people do, and it’s their loss because you find some absolute treasures upon them. (The key is to mix freebie items with your own quality purchases..but I’ve told you that before..pay attention!)

Anyway, back to Beanie. Add her blog to your faves and visit it on a daily basis for discovering a fashionable side of the grid that you may not be that well acquainted with..I promise you it’s worth it.

Oh, and if you don’t heed this advice then you may as well carry on mashing yourself across the chops with the aforementioned spatuala…

Kittylicious! Presents “Lizzie”

Kittylicious! Presents “Lizzie”

Sneaky peak time!

I’m completely in-love with Desperate Romantics’, a wonderful drama series on BBC2 at the moment, about the Pre-Raphaelite movement. The bbc has produced an excellent website companion to the series which you can visit by clicking HERE.  It tells you all about the drama, the cast and most important of all, the characters involved. You can also catch up with the episodes that have already been broadcast, and they are well worth viewing. The drama is VERY  loosely based on fact and although it  makes for enthralling viewing, I’m sure that it has the purist’s up in arms.  I can sort of understand why that would be, BUT I’m sure this programme will introduce more people to the work of these brilliant artists more than any old dusty, dry textbook would. In fact, watch out for a Pre-Raphaelite revival ( there’s always one around Autumn though isn’t there?) Vogue has already mentioned the ravishing red locks as worn by Amy Manson in her role portraying Lizzie Siddall.  I highly recommend that you check it out.

Some of the female characters are stunning  and there’s a lot of nudity in this series (male and female-woot!) with loads of different body-shapes on view, so I thought that I’d create some shapes in honour of some of the characters.

They aren’t verbatim likenesses, but they are inspired by them and are my way of paying homage to a great TV series, and in turn to the amazing people behind it…this is my first, coming soon!

Kitty LOVES the Bikini Skins from Chai

Kitty LOVES the Bikini Skins from Chai

If you’re a Chai Subscriber then by ‘eck you dropped lucky today. Chai dropped a whole package of ‘Bikini Skins’ upon their subscribers, in a huge spectrum of shades, from milky white to black as night, and as you can see from this image they are divine. There’s a freckle and non-freckle option to choose from, and as you would expect the shading and colouration upon the entire range of these skins is exemplary.

They’re called ‘Bikini Skins’ because they have a bikini built into the skin that that you can’t remove..fortunately the skins have been sent with a number of bikini options should you require them, but unless you want to do nudie and underwear shots the lack of visible nips and bush won’t cause you any great drama. (It’s almost Autumn anyway, jumper season after all) To me, this release is all about the face and it is indeed an absolute beauty…very very pretty and the freckles are a worthwhile enhancement. I’m wearing the skin with my ‘Summer’ shape ( which costs L$10) and ‘Megan’ hair by Truth..and I think the finished result is utterly delicious, in kind of an Earl Grey rather than a Typhoo way, if you get my drift!

(Fear not if you aren’t a subscriber by the way, click this link to visit Chai, hit the subscribo and look in the archives)
