UBER is upon us and it’s a very Springy edition; lots of dresses, shorts and skimpy outerwear, underwear and as a total contrast some spectacular furnishings and dwellings too. I have literally ONE PRIM left at home. It kills me; I rearrange my furniture as often as I take my pants out of my buttcrack (they creep in, a lot) but I’ve got it looking ‘just right’ at the moment (my house, not my buttcrack) so I can’t spare any primmage for the glorious ASTRALIA BBQ set, for a start. GAH!!!!However, I can spare the primmage for new hair. My long hair addiction continues and it has been more than satisfied by this release from TRUTH. It’s called ‘Surrender’ and it’s a beautiful, flowing, layered beauty. I messed up a bit actually because I did a naughty- I did the ‘buy before try’ and I should’ve done it the other way around so that I could play with more colours but nay mind, as they say around here, I have it and I feel gorgeous in it. So here is a picture of me being gorgeous in it, and I’m giving myself serious Kate Beckinsale vibes. If you love long hair then you need this in your life, obviously. I love the Styling Hud that’s included so I could wear my hair over my shoulders but I just wanted to wear my hair down, loose and free at the front for this snap. I’m still wearing my NYLON OUTFITTERS undies from COLLABOR88. They could do with a wash, to be honest…
You know, pauldrons need to be a fashion thing again, they really do. they add so much oomph to an otherwise simple outfit, and this dress from RAPTURE screams ‘Pauldrons!’ Well, OK, it doesn’t really, but the simple yet super-effective one shoulder styling of this fitmesh frock yearns for you to accessorize, accessorise, ACCESSORISE! So I did, I added the aforementioned pauldrons that I found on the marketplace after a quick search. I also added the latest style from TRUTH to hit the grid at UBER, along with these fantastic biker chic gloves by RE ( also from UBER– it’s a spectacular round this month!)
This dress would also look just as good with a scarf or a chunky collar and thigh-high boots too. This look makes me think Hollywood’s version of Cleopatra, but with a 21st-century vibe.
..of which, we have plenty in the UK. I swear I’m starting to get cabin fever! Anyhoo, following on from my last post raging about events is a look I cobbled together purely from shopping at two of them: FROU FROU and BLUSH. Now, you know my thoughts on FROU FROU so I won’t go over them again here. BLUSH is a different beast, it follows a more conventional in-world format; there are no surprise layouts or quirks. When you first rez into the event you’re in a room which is pretty much filled with awesomeness. Seriously, this is where the majority of the quality is at, and I relished looking around at the lovely things that were on offer. I’m guessing this initial room cost a bit more to be included in than the second, which is a far more mixed bag; after you’ve exhausted all your shopping options in the main room and wander into the second you’ll still find great designers such as WASABI. EXILE, KIBITZ and ATOMIC to name check just a few, but if I’m being honest there are a few slightly ropey inclusions. But let me stress I’m NOT applying that to everything in the room, there are some excellent contributions to be found but it lacks the overall consistency of the first. That said I certainly spent enough in both rooms, which contributed to my pulling this rather fabulous look together!
It’s all about layering and the purity of white, contrasted with a peekaboo bra and a cracking bolero jacket. This is one of those occasions where I wish I had bought a ruddy fatpack rather than a few singles, but hey ho… The jacket is really very pretty and detailed well; a textured base with fluted edging tape all the way around, and it’s tied with a bow. Above that, I am wearing the glorious wee AVAWAY ‘Gwen’ corset collar with contrasting metal trim. It comes with a very extensive hud enabling you to change the colour of the ribbons and the metal filigree frame.
My underwear is of course from FROU FROU, as I have simply adored that event. This peek a boo bra and panty set is from ABRASIVE. The ‘Lustful Lingerie’ set hugs the curves and really turns heads, which admittedly does tend to happen when your norks are out, even in Second Life. To complete the look I added some rather lovely AMD lace garters along with some favourite LUXURIA stockings. Last but not least, some vintage style glasses from MULLOY and the hairstyle that I really cannot get enough of at the moment, ‘Lady’ By TRUTH, My poses are a cracking discovery that I made at BLUSH, they’re by POSEIDON and the set is called ‘Flirtation’ Who’da thunk it, huh?
Despite the obvious sauciness of this look I actually think it’s incredibly beautiful, hope you do too!

She’s released the ‘Meghan’ Belted coat and dress at the event, and they’re delicious. As is usual with Valentina’s designs we’re talking modern styling with a retro twist. The Meghan dress is, on first glance, a sleeveless style that finishes at the knee with a belt to the waist. Look closer and you’ll see that the front of the dress is unusual; one side draping while the other remains fitted.
The coat is also rather tasty as well: a short, classic mac style with added flair and a bold ribbon bow tie at the waist. The upright collar gives the whole look a lift and makes for a fashionable finish. I paired mine with a new favourite hairstyle from TRUTH called ‘Lady’ that comes replete with a ton of styling options for the hair and the scarf. Sadly, there wasn’t a leopard print texture choice in the HUD, so to get my cat print fix I added some favourite ATOMIC shades. I look like I should be a Private Detective, or flashing my underwear at passers-by, but in fashionable style, obviously! I told you it was a good round this time at FAMESHED didn’t I?
