UBER is upon us and it’s a very Springy edition; lots of dresses, shorts and skimpy outerwear, underwear and as a total contrast some spectacular furnishings and dwellings too. I have literally ONE PRIM left at home. It kills me; I rearrange my furniture as often as I take my pants out of my buttcrack (they creep in, a lot) but I’ve got it looking ‘just right’ at the moment (my house, not my buttcrack) so I can’t spare any primmage for the glorious ASTRALIA BBQ set, for a start. GAH!!!!
However, I can spare the primmage for new hair. My long hair addiction continues and it has been more than satisfied by this release from TRUTH. It’s called ‘Surrender’ and it’s a beautiful, flowing, layered beauty. I messed up a bit actually because I did a naughty- I did the ‘buy before try’ and I should’ve done it the other way around so that I could play with more colours but nay mind, as they say around here, I have it and I feel gorgeous in it. So here is a picture of me being gorgeous in it, and I’m giving myself serious Kate Beckinsale vibes. If you love long hair then you need this in your life, obviously. I love the Styling Hud that’s included so I could wear my hair over my shoulders but I just wanted to wear my hair down, loose and free at the front for this snap. I’m still wearing my NYLON OUTFITTERS undies from COLLABOR88. They could do with a wash, to be honest…

Here Comes A Tropical Summer!
I’ve had a quick gander at the TROPICAL SUMMER 2017 event from WEDOSL and guys, it’s definitely more than worth a look if the sunshine is your thing. There are lots of gorgeous summery outfits and accessories to behold, and it’s a nice, easy to navigate the event. I spied some gorgeous footwear, separates and flowing, summery frocks during my brief visit. There are plenty of tops and shorts combinations too, along with bucket-loads of poses to help you capture summer memories with friends. Because it was just a brief visit I only had time to stock up on some fantastic shorts by NEVE which I’ll probably enjoy wearing all season long, as well as some classic sunglasses by ZOOM. I am never disappointed by ZOOM eyewear, the brand is always spectacularly well crafted and textured and I always get serious SL envy when wearing Jonas Acanthus‘s glasses in-world, as I’d never be able to afford similar in reality. Still, at least in one of my lives, I get to enjoy them and look utterly amazing, huh?
Oh, last but not least, this group gift hair from TRUTH has been re-released with the all new colour packs included. It’s as voluminous as hair can get in SL and looks stunning, however you colour it.
So check out TROPICAL SUMMER 2017 for some sunshine shopping goodness, it’ll increase your vitamin D intake (while reducing your Linden Dollar balance) but ultimately, you’ll feel good!

Here, Kitty Kitty!
This week saw the release of the latest BISHBOX. Along with POWDER PACK, It’s the only subscriber box that I pick up every month. I was incredibly excited to discover that the theme this month was ‘Bad Kitty’, as you can imagine that ticked ALL my boxes, but unfortunately, when it came to the opening and reviewing of the contents there were only a select few items that I really enjoyed. In fact, this is how disappointed I was: I recorded a vlog and then deleted it. I just thought I sounded incredibly miserable and negative, but the fact was, there was so much scope and yet most of the participants had gone for the same old ideas. I felt let down and disappointed. There is a lot more to creating a cat aesthetic than masks, PVC and collars. True, it’s a theme that has been done to death in Second Life but I was ready to be wowed with some super original content and that just wasn’t the case. Now I’ve had a whinge there were a couple of stellar items that I really enjoyed, and I’ll feature those in forthcoming posts.
In other news, UBER has some interesting offerings this month. It’s an event I find a little hit or miss in the extreme. When I finally manage to get in I either go mad and buy all the things or harrumph and roll my eyes as I slope off home in a sulk. This month saw me buying a few items but I don’t think it’s up to the usual standard. That said, the ‘Yonder Eyes’ from IZZIE’S are well worth checking out if you want to up your virtual eye game; the colours Izzie has created are beautiful.
Can you see a theme developing here? In fact, that’s something I’m seeing reflected in other events and offerings across the grid; is the virtual shopping bubble about to burst? Nah, I don’t think so. Don’t forget that it’s almost Summer and people tend to hang out more in real life once the weather gets warm. Yes, designers have real lives too you know!

MBA brings back the heat!
It’s a SCORCHING round of MBA this month! An absolute banquet on a stick of fab fashions and first up is this glorious NARCISSE ‘Charlie’ bodysuit. It’s plain and simple, just like me, but don’t be fooled; the fat-pack features colour options and ability to change individual elements, such as the contrast neck ribbon, which make a real, stylish difference. I’ve teamed it with these epic SLACKGIRL ‘Sinal’ stiletto nails, that feature a bang on-trend chevron motif. They come with a HUD with enough colour options to see you through the summer!
To complete my look I’m wearing the TRUTH GROUP GIFT for May. This style, ‘Kare’, gives me a real 80’s feel; it’s a mid-length, shaggy bob and comes complete with multi-styling options so you can get the perfect look. Even better than that are the colour HUDs. I spied some cracking Bento poses on the Marketplace, so I went to check them out in-world, and I really recommend that you do the same. They’re from REVE OBSCURA You’ll find a good selection of male and female poses for L$50 a pop and the one I’m using here is called ‘Rawr!’ I look forward to seeing many more Bento poses here!
The rest of my look features the ‘Queen’ lip and eye palette from PINK FUEL for last month’s POWDER PACK. I was complimented on it today whilst I was busily building in a sandbox, and I’m not surprised, every single one of Mochi’s contributions thus far has been outstanding, and I can’t see what she has in store for us this month. I’m also *still* wearing my AMARA BEAUTY ‘Justine’ skin as my base. It’s just perfection and I’m wearing it in a much deeper tone than I normally would because, hey, you know, summer right? (Plus, it’s such a beautiful colour!) Last but not least are my KIBITZ Jelly Bracelets from last month’s BISHBOX.
