(My mum used to give me this weird yummy malt extract stuff on a spoon as a kid..wonder if you can still get it? I’ll ask her, she probably has a jar from 1978 festering away in a cupboard) Ahem. Malt is a store that I have never frequented before. More fool me, because it’s a bloody cracker. I got a notice about a fashion show and seeing as I had bugger all else going on I thought I’d pop along and investigate, and oh boy am I a pleased Kitty! The store is gorgeous, designer Khea Karas has done an excellent job, and the fashion show was well presented and choreographed (three models, alas daft chuff that I am I didn’t jot down their names, but they were the best models I’ve seen in Second Life to date) I liked the way that the seating was laid out; comfy cushions loosely placed around the catwalk which was in-turn suspended over a floor with water underneath..it looked lovely. I settled down and got myself ready for what was an utterly delightful presentation featuring lots of signature pieces including…wait for it…BABYDOLL DRESSES! Now, you ALL know how I feel about babydolls, so it’s Kitty confession time…I think these are FABBO! (They’re called Tyrilha and cost L$250, and are described as short and long babydoll dress and top)Wanna know why? Well, not only are the textures and colours smashing, but the babydoll hem is assymetric and it just makes them look *so* much better. Seriously, I hate these kinds of frocks and I’m ruddy well wearing one and LOVING it! (Incidentally, the one that I’m wearing in Gold is FREE in store right now, I know you can’t see the hemline but just trust me on this ok? This babydoll does not make you look eight and a half months gone:) Other highlights from the show were the swimsuit combos(Evangalea, L$250) which also feature babydoll attachments that mean the swim suits can be dressed up or down, or even worn with jeans, skirts and trousers, making them perfect for mixing and matching and of course meaning more outfit for your Linden dollar. I also loved the jackets, belt-scarves and bags in store and could have spent a small fortune there. I’m even going to stick my neck out here and say that I actually think this Tyrilha babydoll dress is the shape of the season! I know! Trust me reader – I’ve not ingested any funny mushrooms or anything, and I still stand by my suggestion that the majority of babydoll dresses in world are uber-minging..but this is a great dress. It just *works* I also heartily recommend that you join the in-store group as there were some sensational freebies distributed to group members during the show…oh, and a final note-I have no idea what’s happened to this picture as it certainly didn’t look like this when I was fannying about on my Flickr..but like the babydoll I think this looks rather good too! There’s a hint of California about the whole look if you ask me..I think all my recent headaches must be having an effect. I wouldn’t normally style myself like this, but I was just messing around with the reams of hairstyles in my inventory and thrust (ooer missus!) this one upon my bonce, and it just ‘fit’. I think there’s an Eva Longoria vibe going on here…ANYWAY..Malt, go there NOW!
( Kitty PS..check out the cardi and cargo shorts in this pic…nice huh?)
