Living like horses…

Living like horses…

…and if you thought Bunnies were good, take a look at these babies!

These are the Amaretto Breedable Horses, and they’re sure to take the grid by storm when the time to launch draws near.  My chum Elif brought me over to the im to take a look and alas, I fell for them rather hard. At 14 prims there’s not that much difference between these and bunnies, except these are a lot bigge and you can ride them! I know, riding them!! How cool is that?

I have tried horse riding in Second Life ( Dee and I both had horses and would trot off into the sunset together) and it’s a really fun pastime in world.  This will open up a hole new world of fun for teh breedables market..content creators will be able to build amazing accessories and I’m sure horse auctions will become popular too. Like the bunnies there are different colour coats and shades and they become fully mature at seven days old., which means that you can then begin to breed your own of course. The question I expect a lot of people will be asking is if these will take the wind out of the bunnies sails, and I actually don’t think they will, especially if Ozimals are a canny lot. You can keep bunnies in your barn perfectly well with your horses, and I know I have space for a couple, so what’s not to love?  Apparently these lovelies don’t get fully released until September, and there is talk of unicorns being amongst the breeds. Personally, I’d like a Pegasus to call my own…..I can’t wait.

Check out the official website for more info..and watch this space!!

Bunny Auctions Are Go!

Bunny Auctions Are Go!

I’m pleased to share with you all a very exciting event that will be taking place this Sunday, 8th August.

Some friends and I have gotten together to create our very own auction house and our inaugural auction will take place at 12pm SLT (That’s 8pm UK time).

We’ve been to LOTS of auctions recently and enjoyed them for many different reasons, but all felt that there some ways that the experience could be made better, so with those thoughts in mind we’ve established a small yet prestigious location were we can hold our own auctions.

We hope these will prove to be fun events for the bunny community, and help owners gain good prices for their stock. Bunny breeding will only succeed and grow if people become enthused about auctions and buying bunnies, and that’s what we hope our auction house will do..we want it to enthuse you, make it easy for you to buy and sell and ultimately give you a nice evening out in Second Life!

Not only that but many auctions are US based, making it difficult for European buyers and sellers to attend. We hope to redress this balance by having auctions at times relevant to both the US and the UK.

Because it’s our first auction on Sunday we’re limiting it to ten posts only; but you can put a couple of lives or nests on each podium. It’s also TOTALLY FREE to enter and as you can imagine spaces are going VERY quickly!

If you’re interested please IM me, Altair Orellana OR Mo Lyle and request an entrance notecard which features full instructions..I really hope to see you there!! Bring Lindens, the bunnies are going to be corkers!

More FLF Goodness from Adore & Abhor

More FLF Goodness from Adore & Abhor

I don’t normally go for dresses in a big way, especially short ones with poofy skirts, but there was something about todays FLF offering from Adore and Abhor that just drew me in, and I am so glad that I bought it.

The dress is exceptionally easy to wear and screams for accessories, which makes it great fun when using the multiple layering options that we are now all blessed with in SL. With the frothy underskirt it’s the picture of elegance when teamed with some flat shoes and a funky necklace, like the one I’m wearing here (It’s my boho dangle owl necklace, a steal on X-Street at just L$180 for four different metal shades)
To finish I’m wearing one of the styles in the Tiny Bird FLF special, ‘Kissy-Kissy’ in red, and in the background you’ll see a beautiful mannequin that’s the FLF offering from Theosophy. I bought everything this week in FLF except the offerings from League and Katatonik.  All in all, I think it’s been a great first birthday event!

I’m getting a real Christina Hendricks vibe here…what do you think? ( Incidentally the pose is  from ‘With Love & Squalor’ as mentioned previously)

Sleeping Bag Heaven at Reek

Sleeping Bag Heaven at Reek

Love the FLF Friday offering from Reek, which in my opinion always wins the prize for the brightest and boldest store on the grid. ( Never visit when you have a hangover!)

Their selection this week is a pack of four sleeping bags with two poses (sleeping on back or front) VERY tough to choose on my fave  design but ‘Food Coma’ gets my vote.

Get yourself a campfire and go camping this balmy August weeked on the grid:)
