Quicky- Casa Del Shai

Quicky- Casa Del Shai

I was just going offline when I received a press release from ‘Casa Del Shai’ via the ‘Fashion Consolidated’ group.  I can HONESTLY say that I am stunned by their festive collection, especially the Roisin cocktail dress.  You HAVE to go and see this collection, it’s utterly superb and I plan on spending some serious lindens on these beauties! If you wanna have a sneaky peek, there’s a link the the website here. ( I need to spend more time at the store, it’s fabulous!)

Festive Freebie Fest day 2! Waheyyyy!!!

Festive Freebie Fest day 2! Waheyyyy!!!

Well it’s freebie fest day 2, and it’s getting better and better!
I’m really pleased by the little black dress that Ibizarre gave away today, it’s ever so slightly detailed and will look good dressed up or down:) We got a pair of jeans yesterday from them, which I haven’t photographed, but you can never have enough jeans in your wardrobe:) Ivalde gave away a smart, but a tad middle-aged pant suit today, although the shading and detail are as excellent as you would expect from such an esteemed label. (The dress they gave  away yesterday was an utter smasher, so if you missed out..ouch!)  I think out of today’s outfit I’d be inclined to wear the top far more than the trousers..there’s something a tad ‘Dynasty’ about them-But hey-the outfit is a total freebie, so I’m not really complaining:) ‘Wrong’ seem to be quipping us with a wardrobe of mix and match items which is a fabulous idea. So far they’ve given away a camo t-shirt and a green skirt, but these can also be mashed up with the goodies that ‘Reaction’ are dishing out.So far we have a nice black skirt and a pair of girlie trainers were given away today, but they all work well together. If you keep collecting these items you will amass a fantastic wardrobe by the time Santa Claus pays us all a visit, so I heartily suggest you stick with it.  (Don’t forget to show your love to the designers by perusing their other items when you grab a freebie as well) My fave item though has to be the jewellery set given away by ‘Second Mirage’ today.  It’s a really pretty bracelet, earrings and necklace combo in a stylised red-rose design.  Perfect for stashing into your inventory and accessorising a Christmas red gown with!  If you want to see some ( but not all) of these itms keep an eye on my Flickr, accessible at the bottom left of the page.  I’m taking snaps of myself modelling the freebies everyday, and mixing them up with non-freebie items to complete the look. Anyhoo, signing off now.  I had a corking evening at ‘the Crown & Pearl’ last night, so tonight I’m chilling with a glass of wine and the latest ‘Big Issue’ by the fire. But before I go…

Kitty’s tip of the day:  Don’t walk around with tags on that say things like ‘My mum thinks I’m Hot’.( Seriously! I have JUST seen this!) You can bet your bottom dollar that you really aren’t, and you just leave yourself open to ridicule..Plus if you’re that hot why would you need a tag..and isn’t it kind of wrong that your mum thinks that??
Leave the ego at home.
Freebies Galore! Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!

Freebies Galore! Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!

I am DROWNING in a sea of festive freebieness and it is bloody wonderful!

I’m sure I don’t know every single store on the map that is offering something free for the festive season, so I am religiously checking out Cherlindreas’ ‘Fabulously Free in SL’ ( you should know by now- CHECK IT EVERY DAY!) and my bag is brimming with wonderful stuff!

So far I’ve been to the following stores who are kindly offering freebies every day leading up until Xmas.  They are:

  • Ivalde (Wear a group tag to get the gift)
  • Second Mirage ( ditto)
  • Ibizzare
  • Reaction ( mens and womens freebies)
  • Wrong

( Cherlindrea has Slurl’s on her site for these stores)

BUT ALSO: Check out Solstice for Xmas themed goodies ( Pyjamas, antlers and slippers) as well as Purple Rose (Cute snowman pin)
Make no mistake these are quality items we’re talking about.  Solstice has really gone the extra mile because opposite the xmas tree is a teleport to the the Christmas Cottage I blogged below.  The cottage is ‘free to use’ and features snuggly pose balls, so go with your loved one and take some festive snaps:)  ( I would go with Jez but he sicky bleurgh)

Woot!for these fab stores for being so generous-freebies every day until Xmas!! BLISS!

Riding a panda at ‘Le Zoo’

Riding a panda at ‘Le Zoo’

You would think the run-up to Christmas couldn’t possibly be any better than opening your advent calendar and devouring the choccy inside, but oooh it is! I’m happy to say there’s a new shopping centre in SL by the name of ‘Le Zoo’ and it is a smasher! For a start, it is a Zoo;the build is highly detailed, clearly laid out and there are LOTS of animals. My first impression was that it conveys that sense of loneliness that you often experience when walking around RL Zoos on a cold drizzly Winters day. (London Zoo had that effect on me I’m afraid to say:() Having said that there’s a really appealling originality about the place, as well as a sense of humour. For example, a Rhino has broken her way through the window of ‘Chapeau Tres Mignon’ and is merrily eating some of the wares! She’s also left a huge pile of doo-doo in the centre of the store..it’s actually a posing stand! (What a clever touch) You will be amazed at the quality shops that have taken up residence in this place. We’re talking names like Tuli, Calla, Icing, Punch Drunk, Eolandes, Muse, Philotic Energy, Marlys any many many others. There are some I’ve never visited before such as ‘Fancy Schmancy’ and I look forward to exploring these with gusto and lots of Lindens in my pocket:)Bear in mind that the majority of these are satellite stores and obviously they will be too small to offer their full range.   Don’t be put off by this, I love these kinds of places as you get a great build to explore and a taste of what the designers involved have to offer. (Many of them have landmarks to their flagship locations as well.) A couple of shops are still in the process of setting up but it doesn’t detract from the overall feel of the place.  It’s defo worthy of a landmark. To tempt you even further there are FREEBIES galore as well, including cuddly animals and a pack of FANTASTIC logo t-shirts from the admission booth ( I’m not saying what’s on them-only that if you miss out you won’t be happy.  they’re only available this weekend!) Some of the stores are being lovely and giving gifts out  too-a nice necklace from Calla for a start.  Go and make yourself a brew and come and visit ‘Le Zoo’.
