There are so many reasons that I adore Noam Sprocket. I love him because he has no ego, yet oodles of talent. I love him because he calls himself a ‘pain in the ass twat’. I love him because his blog is as dazzling a wonderment of blog happiness as could possibly exist on the interwebs, and I love him most of all because he never ceases to amaze me with his creations. This is his latest. Its called ‘Faders‘ and is just bloody wonderful. If I ever decided to lop off my locks, then this is the style I’d go for. (Just for the record I wouldn’t though, purely because I am INCREDIBLY lazy and styles such as this one take a lot of work to stay looking so effortlessly funky)
With Faders you have a super-straight fringe jam-packed tight between two super messy lengths either side. The lengths graduate around the skull towards a short messy crown to reveal a sweet, almost pixie-like crop behind, with a super-wispy finish.
It’s effortless, nommable chic and here’s the thing, you don’t have to be wearing the street, edgy, skateboard style that Gritty Kitty rocks so well to be able to enjoy this one. You can mix and match Faders with a multitude of looks and trust me, it’ll work every time.
Here’s a Kitty example; here I am wearing Faders with a boho-tunic, and (out of shot) some super slouchy Maitreya boots. The look is teamed off with wooden bangles and there you have it..doesn’t it look grand? I heartily suggest that you bugger off down to Koreshan and check this one out sharpish, because I predict it is going to be mega-popular on the grid.
(Oh, and another reason for loving Noam, his pricing is bang-bloody-spot on. This style is L$130, utter bargain if you ask me:)
Faders=hair happiness Gritty Kitty style!

It’s a kind of Street Magic!
No, I’m not talking about the annoying shenanigans that David Blaine gets up to ..Feast your eyes on this little festive beauty! Finished? Now focus on the outfit I’m wearing instead, ain’t it scrummy yummy? Last night I was like a kitty in a freshly made litter-box, scrabbling around in a frenzy and whooping with joy at the bounty that had been dropped on me in world by a new name to the grid, ‘Street Magic’. There was LOADS of stuff included which I’m going to bore you with over the next week and on my Flickr pictures (Left hand side, down a bit..bingo!) and this delightful little ensemble was included. It’s called ‘ ~Street Magic~’Black Sunday Red Set’ ( L$275) Now on first glance you may think this is a tad ‘Meh’, but ho-ho, not so! (See what I’m doing here? Festive Kitty, available for your Christmas function-book now!) Ahem.
Back to the outfit which is decidedly un-meh indeed. For starters, there’s the dress..it’s a nice, plain black dress with a skirt just the right side of sticky-outy for my tastes. The top is in a plain t-shirt style, but shows off enough of my gargantuan norkage for me and the rest of the grid to be happy:) So far so what I hear you cry, there’re plenty of plain dresses in-world to choose so why should I opt for this one? Well, let me illuminate you dear reader by shoving your virtual chops in the direction of the wonderful fabric and texture that make this little black number a cut above the rest. Look, look, LOOK at the detailing! You see? Absolutely fabbo texture choice selected for this piece, and this skirt pleating is absolutely spot on, don’t you think? It’s PERFECT for adding nice winter accessories such as huge scarves and whatever you like to. Add skates, and you have the ideal skating frock..add a pashmina, jacket and some posh boots and you have a chic outfit for going out on the town. Add piercings, tattoos and probably the entire range of Gritty Kitty goodies and you have a grungeworthy number just right for hanging out like a virtual emo on street corners. It all works with this fab little frock.
Not only that, the dress comes with these fantastic red arm bracers which look uber cool don’t they? The patterned tights that you can just see peeking into the picture are part of the set too. I ruddy well love it. For the picture I’ve dressed my frock up with the Luster Emerald Skin by Curio which adds a great dash of colour, and looks festive to boot. If you want to go the whole hog and look Christmassy without being overtly blatant about it then I suggest you add this fabbo hair that I’m wearing, which is the latest release by Deviant Kitties. It’s called ‘Wynter’ and get used to it folks cos you’re going to see it *everywhere* Deviant Kitties was packed with avatars trying this style on and no wonder, it’s great fun and looks great in whichever colour option you choose. I’m especially impressed with the Christmas edition which is on sale at a measly L$75 ( it’s a white tipped red shade, very Santa) but for the picture I’ve opted to wear black. I bought a pack of three black shades for L$200. In this pose you don’t really get the full effect of the hair, but it features a modern take on the Princess Leia updo with two buns hoisted high up on your bonce. It’s enhanced with these Christmas lights, which are so quirky and really brought a smile to my chapped, cracked lips (It’s cold) But even better than that the style also gives you the option of wearing texture change ear muffs which means you can co-ordinate with your fave winter accessories like I mentioned before. What’s not to love? I think this is a brilliant outfit that has been superbly executed and I’m going to be plugging Street Magic to death this week because of the rest of the wares they’ve sent me to try..they really are that good. Click HERE for the clothing and HERE for the hair:) I’m off for some mulled wine and a nice sit down. All this fashion happiness has made me feel quite fatigued.
( Gosh I really do talk batshit sometimes don’t I?)
Classic Kitty
A tad lax on the blogging front at the mo-number of reasons for this but the main one is I’m on my RL holidays at the mo so am busy sleeping. (I kid you not, it’s my favest thing ever apart from drinking tea and eating pork scratchings) Plus I’ve been in a foul funk with Second Life too..it’s just not right at the mo. Everything is taking ages to rez, there’s grey goo everywhere and quite frankly I’ve been losing my temper with it..BUT I ventured into world long enough today to sweep into Gritty Kitty for the latest hair offering from Mr Sprocket, ‘Crystale’. Isn’t this a dish? The hair is lovely and messy, with great texture and loads of colour options…of course, for me it just had to be black! Best of all Noam has added his usual quirky touch to the proceedings with a colour change bow. This hair is so divinely feminine and lends itself to all sorts of trends..it’s very ‘French’, but works very well ( as you’d expect) grunged up to hell or nekoed to death. I’ve gone for a classy look here- teaming the style with a dress from Malt Fashions and earrings from Yummy. I love it…and it reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in ‘Roman Holiday’…what do you think? Now all I need is for Noam to create a bob like no other….I wonder if he’ll rise to that challenge?
Incidentally..I fibbed about the pork scratchings, I *HATE* them, but not about the tea..in fact I’m off to make a brew right now. Fancy a cup?
Getting ready for happy Halloweeny time!
