I haven’t done a skin review in an age, so was delighted when Redsoledrea Gossipgirl (try saying that with a gobful of chips) dropped a box of skins on me. Having not a clue about the brand I had no expectations so I’m delighted to say I was, well, delighted when I popped on one of the skins. Redsoledrea has remade the Elle skins in a darker skintone, and isn’t it yummy?
It’s available in one pack called ‘Glam-R-Us’, in which you’ll find 2 brow options and 4 makeup choices. She’s keen to stress in the blurb that ‘…each skintone has its own special makeup because not all skins are created equal…’ I don’t quite get that, but what I do get is that these skins are incredibly good and excellent value for money. The skinpacks sell for a mere L$800 and you get 8 skins total…that’s L$100 a skin, which is bloody good value if you ask me. I’m expecially impressed with the make-up options for this skin, and the shading upon the face. The colour work is spot on, the shading on all areas of the body is accurate and gives the skin a very realistic feel. Areas such as nostrils, shoulder blades, collar bone and belly button all look the part and fit really well. The skin tone itself doesn’t feature the subtle nuances that you’d get on say a Curio or Belleza skin, but you know what, it doesn’t matter a bit…because in my opinion this skin is a real find. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that the colour options do lend it towards the fashionista crowd, and I can imagine seeing a models wearing this one in-world…it has that ‘feel’ about it, if you know what I mean?
In this photo I’m wearing the skin with my Kittylicious! Selina shape, and you can safely say that they are a winning combination aren’t they? I love it. I think you will too, so why not go and check OMFG out for yourself by clicking here….and tell ’em that Kitty sent ya:)

Second Life Sci-Fi Convention

This weekend sees the second SL Sci-Fi convention held in world over 4 sims. It looks as though it’ll be a great event, and there’s representation from all kinds of Sci-Fi genres..including Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Dr Who and lots more..I love events of this kind, it gives me the opportunity to dress the part, but also you can’t help being carried away by the enthusiasm for all things geeky at these events. I have embraced my inner geek and happily acknowledge the fact that if you cut me, I probably bleed in a slightly Vulcan manner:) The next few photos will all come from various locations at the event!

So there I was…dancing with the ‘Tainted Boys’

I was mooching around the metaverse, feeling very sorry for myself, when I happened across an art gallery in Second Life. It gave away a free HUD that when clicked takes you to different galleries in world, so I spent a happy hour wandering the grid and being very cultured. But best of all, I found a gallery adjacent to this club, called ‘Tainted Boys’, and I’m having an amazing time dancing with the beautiful fellas and enjoying the fantastic dance music provided by uber DJ Adonis Lubitsch..what a corking find. It’s put a huge grin on my face:) I’ve rarely heard such good mixing nor seen a club so full mid-week. It’s a credit ti the place, and I also really like teh fact that they have dances available for wheelchair users..littl;e things like that make a difference if you ask me. I’ll certainly be visiting again!

Arm warmers ahoy!
I’m really becoming rather keen on ‘Concrete Flowers’, which is a fabulous, somewhat eclectic wee store that sells a wonderful array of clothing and oddments. It tends toward urban/grunge styling, but is not as in your face as other outlets which means you can mix and match their wares rather well with more mainstream brands.
I took a wander down there yesterday and was delighted by these amazing armwarmers that they sell in a great range of colours. Aren’t they neat? They look so warm and chunky and I could so imagine having these in real life..in fact, I yearn for some. I love the dangly bits on them too..they’re just such a great addition to any outfit and look extremely realistic. I’m also wearing a dollarbie that’s currently available in stoire too- this wee four leaf clover in a bottle is very sweet ( look-it has a ladybird on it!) and is designed to give you lots of luck..it’s well worth a linden. I hope it works, my inventory drama is still going on with no updates thus far. My inventory is determined that it only has 13, 333 items in it, which is all well and good, but it should have LOTS more than that and it’s all my good stuff that’s gone missing:(
