Edward prefers brunettes..?!

Edward prefers brunettes..?!

Ok, I’ll fess up, I haven’t yet seen the movie or read Twilight yet. Shame on me..I know…

I’ve actually planned on doing so (I had the book in my hand in Tescos!) but it got so hyped and R-Patz suddenly started appearing here, there and everywhere and as a result I got fed up with it all and forgot about it. But I’ve seen loads of ‘Team Edward’ tees on tweens as they wander around in the pseudo-Emo fashion that they adopt these days (gosh I sound old!) and I can understand the attraction entirely …vampires have ALWAYS been cool. Bram Stoker’s Dracula is one of my favourite books of all time, and I went through a phase of reading Anne Rice non-stop…I’m over that one now though.

What I’m trying to say is that I will probably get sucked into the Twilight palavah at some point, but until then I’m making do with a range of faboosh tees from one of the most oddly titled yet captivating little bijou brands in all of Second Life. You may have seen it before – It’s a regular participant of some of the grid wide hunts and is a really cracking little store. Yes, I’m talking about Nykki Heartsdale’s [lessthanthree]<3

Think kitsch, cute and very reasonably priced fashion and SKINS.  The skins are fabulous, as you can see by this one that I’m wearing in the picture (A previous hunt find, lovely isn’t it?) The emphasis is on colour so if you like your eyeshadow bright then this is a brand you really should be checking out. My other favourite store finds are the eyes that [lessthanthree]<3 produce-they’re stunning.  I am VERY fussy about my eyes, and tend only to wear Miriel which I have in all colours. I’ve decided that these eyes are an extremely close second choice being just as detailed with a lovely large coloured iris and beautiful shine..again they aren’t expensive so well worth a try.  But back to the subject at hand; here I am stood in front of a wall filled with funky tees. The Twilight tees are in plain sight and you have a choice of of styles at a mere L$75 each. Some mention Edward by name, others mention sparkle ( WTF? Vampires DO NOT sparkle!) and some mention Volvos. I haven’t a ruddy clue, but I do know that the whole range looks nommy and I think you should go and see…especially if your name is Bella:) As a final push to send you through the doors they have great jeans on sale here too with excellent detailing as you can see from the photo. I’m pretty much wearing the entire store in this shot! The only non [lessthanthree]<3 items are my Miel group gift scarf and my Truth freebie Jess hair. I look like a teenager don’t I? Anyway, if you want to proclaim your love for all things Twilight related in-world then this place should be your starter for ten. (Please note, I haven’t seen any R-Patz looklikes, or sparkles or anything like thatwhilst shopping here, besides I prefer my Vampires hard and bitey!)  Oh and a quick note they’re having a spring sale with freebie items for boys and girls just by the main doors as you enter the store…well worth your time. Now bugger off and shop there:) **UPDATE YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT IS IN THE FREEBIE BOXES!! OMG! Quality tees, patched jeans and LOTS OF SKINS!!**

The Great Kitty Shape Debate..Part Two

The Great Kitty Shape Debate..Part Two

…Or do you prefer a few more inches for your noms? This is Curvy Kitty and I think she looks faboosh. There’s definitely some hip action going on here..she has really defined calves too and I think she’s a fair bit shorter than ‘Original’ Kitty (That’s no bad thing, I think my regular shape would be about 6ft 7inches in real life!)So dear reader, the choice is yours. Which do you prefer?

I’m going to be running a vote for the next couple of days and whichever shape wins will be the shape I stick with, so this is a pretty important vote! I think both are nice, but I think it would be nice to have a touch more chub as there’s nothing for Jez to grab hold of in the previous picture. Of course, what does it matter-Second Life is a totally fake existence after all so why the fuss? <Snigger>

Feel free to drop a comment when you vote and I’ll announce the results in a few days time!

The Great Kitty Shape Debate..Part One

The Great Kitty Shape Debate..Part One

Ever since I came into Second Life I’ve had the same shape..it’s called ‘Joellyn’ and was given to me by someone so far back in the day that I can’t even remember who it was! I tried it on and instantly liked it; looking back this was because of the impressive norkage and the very sweet face. I’ve never changed shape because I like the way that this one looks very much, but recently it was drawn to my attention that basically, Kitty has no hips.  Good point, and it dawned on me that I don’t know any female with this kind of figure…so that got me thinking. Is it time for Kitty to change her shape?

In real life I’m not Kittyesque in any way shape or form..in fact I think the polite terminology would be to describe me as ‘curvy’.   Basically, I like my pies..and pizza..and curry…and anything with a fat content equivalent to that of a small pacific atol.  So, I found a shape I liked (yes, it’s the ‘Captive Elegance’ one from the previous post..I kinda fell for it in a big way) and tweaked it so that the mush was Kitty’s regular face shape with all her facial characteristics. That’s the only change; the faces are identical on these shapes but the bodies are very different.

Anyway, take a good long look at this shape..do you prefer me to stay skinny..?

Kitty the Wanton Temptress

Kitty the Wanton Temptress

So my previous picture featured me as a sort of ‘Dragonette’. This picture is a total contrast, and features ME (yes, that is me!) in ‘Xena, Warrior Princess’ mode; the kind of lass who would beat said Dragonette into a bloody pulp leaving her sobbing in submission in a corner after a substantial pasting with a huge twat-hammer…OK, I digress:) Ahem.  Readers, this is the FIRST time you will have ever seen me wearing a different shape to my usual choice upon these pages, and doesn’t it look good in a curvaceous “I’ve eaten ALL the pies and don’t care a jot ” kind of way? This stunning shape actually comes with the outfit, which is from ‘Captive Elegance’. It’s called ‘Temptress 1’ and is beautifully constructed. I’ve never worn anything like this before and I think the effect is astonishing.I guess that this is the kind of outfit favoured in-world by role-players of a certain ilk. If so I applaud their tastes, and the talents of the designer behind the ‘Captive Elegance’ brand because this garb is a cracking piece of engineering. (Seriously! Check out the bra!) To compliment this look I’ve teamed it with breathtaking hair from ‘The Stringer Mausoleum’. This floor length style is called ‘Jealous’ and yes, I am actually. It’s a tumbling concoction of waves and delicate face-framing tendrils that reach all the way down to the floor to create a sublime, romantic look that is very different to Helena Stringer’s trademark spiky styles but just as vital. If you like your hair long and floor length then you simply must indulge, especially when you consider it’s a mere L$200…bargain huh? A point to note; ‘Jealous’ is available with a bang option for an additional L$30, but the bangs are the kind that frame the face, rather than fall across it. I can’t really deal with not having a fringe in SL, so I had a rummage around in my inventory and found that the ‘Hope’ bangs from TM work extremely well with the hair.. clever Kitty!  A final note: I’ve tried on LOADS of skins to find a good one for this photograph, and I have to say that an uber quality skin with depth, shading and incredible skin detail is the only option. Think about it, there’s so much skin on show here that you need to be able to see subtle changes in tone, elbow and knee details and skin blemishes for it to become a truly authentic look. The ‘Leona’ skin from Redgrave is therefore an excellent choice because it features all those details as well as stunning facial make-up and plump, juicy lips that tie-in perfectly with the wonderfully rounded and ample curves that the shape provides. As before, this is the kind of outfit ( can you even call it that?) that I’ve never considered checking out because, well, to be honest, the whole RP thing doesn’t really appeal..BUT I have to say I think I look THE HOTNESS in this picture.

(Jez agrees because he’s just passed me on the way to the bog and told me that posting this to the blog is highly verboten. Oh dear..I just pressed send….oopsy!)
