I may have just stumbled across the bargain of the century, especially if you are Neko inclined..in fact this is pretty major, because the quality and amount of wonderfulness included in this package is just stunning for the dosh. See the outfit? See the ears? The tail? The cherries? ( I’m only wearing a fraction of it as well) Guess how much?!
FIFTY LINDENS FOR THE LOT.
Bloody bargain of gargantuan proportions if you ask me. The outfit is from XstreetSL, from a creator called ‘ K&L’
Never heard of them before BUT I certainly will be keeing an eye out for them now!
First of all what impresses me most of all about this outfit is the cut off shirt..the texture, transparency and the wrinkling upon this shirt is some of the best I have EVER seen.

It’s bloody ace, seriously! The pants are cracking too;again transparent and well, don’t they look fab? I love the bangles (which in my opinion you can never have enough of) and the stockings and..well, this is what you get:

Like I said, I’m not wearing all of it, but the quality and quantity of items in this package makes me ever so happy in a very special Kitty way.

If you do Neko, or are just starting out YOU MUST buy this. Even if you don’t do Neko YOU MUST buy this ( just don’t bother with the ears and tail)

In honour of the splendidness of this generous booty I’m remaining in Neko guise all weekend, and if you’re curious I’m also wearing some NEW hair from Magika that is rather beautiful dontcha think? (The skin is by Redgrave, and the shape is coming soon from me, obviously:) Why are you still reading this? BUGGER OFF AND BUY THIS OUTFIT!

Kitty’s Store is busy..weeee!!!

This weekend I’m taking my first very tentative steps into hardcore SL marketing.

I’ve joined as many groups as possible: Fabfree, Fashcon, Vain Inc..( if you know of any others please share!) and I’m sending out notices left right and centre, as well as creating and basically running myself ragged. Kittylicious! Shapes is an extremely small enterprise takes such a lot of work, but I’m loving every minute and it’s so gratifying seeing visitors to the store..it was so exciting that I ran downstairs and annoyed Jez during his WoW exploits and INSISTED he come see:)
Considering mine is only a small business, it makes me wonder how the ‘biggies’ manage. It must take up so much time; yet another reason for Second Life designers to be admired. I remember that so many stories came out about SL being a quick way to make money, and it really isn’t, as anyone involved in SL trade will tell you. It’s graft, plain and simple, just as much like RL as you could possibly imagine in that respect.
From my own perspective I’m spending a lot of time making shapes and posters and evaluating prices and stumbling along in my own mad and happy fashion. It really does take up a lot of my time in-world at the moment, but the sheer thrill of someone buying and wearing one of your creations is such a reward..I cannot imagine how proud clothing designers must feel.
Yes, I know we’re just a bunch of virtual characters but the emotions are so very real, and having never created anything in my entire life before I can honestly say, hand on heart, that this is one of my proudest ever moments and is giving me so much pleasure. When it comes down to it, that’s what it’s all about in the end…thank you for your support:)
So as we’re talking about the store I’ll just blog a shameless plug to let you know about the L$50 weekend sale, as if you don’t already, LOL!

I’m also going to be releasing a new L$10 shape this weekend, and of course there’s a dollarbie and freebie in store too.
Finally, if you have any SL marketing tips (I must catch up with Peter Stindberg and Kat Alderson at some point, those guys are really good at this kind of thing!) please feel free to share in the comments section below ( they’re not just for my benefit but for all readers of this blog)

There is SO much happening across the grid right now, hunts, sales..it’s hard to keep track….I feel overwhelmed by it all!

However, here’s a sale that is definitely worth checking out because not only do you get great hair, but you help a poorly kitty too…

Tigerlily Koi is the name behind Calla, one of the biggest hair and skin emporiums in Second Life, and this weekend she’s having a special sale.

The sale is to help pay Vets bills for her pet kitty, which you can read about here (he’s a beautiful cat btw) It seems Kitty has an abscess issue, and being a mum to 6 cats I can tell you from my own experience that abscesses are not fun to deal with (they stink) plus it looks as though he has a foreign body lodged in his leg…poor cat, he must be really going through it…and of course Tiger is because these kind of things cost $$$$$

So to raise funds Tigerlily is having a special sale…. All Sultry styles will be 50% off this weekend! Also, store cards are going to be on sale 25% off. Skins and shapes are  50% off.

Nah, they’re not really. I’m a reasonable kind of gal, despite what you may think… I just wanted to share with you one of the latest releases from uber fashion emporium ‘Dernier Cri’. If you aren’t familiar with the brand, these are the guys who supply you with a hair demo and an amazingly nifty hud that enables you to tint your hair into any of the available shades in store, so you really do get a genuine feel for the style before you lay down the Lindens. It’s a seriously smart idea that I wish more hair stores would buy into. I’m very reluctant to try new colours purely because I don’t want to waste Lindens, and this system ensures no wastage whatsoever; although with such a juicy range of colours on display you may find yourself struggling to decide what to get! The store was VERY busy when I visited, making it slow to rez, but every avatar and their Aunty were there to get their mits upon the latest styles. This is one of them and I have to say it looks rather nifty in this shot, but for me the short layers at the top are just a tad too Kate Gosselin for my tastes. (I’m more turned on by the Dernier Cri colour range and demo hud than anything else, lots of hours of indecision ahoy!) before I zoom off, let me draw your attention to the very sexy negligée that I’m wearing in this shot too. It’s from ‘Reasonable Desires’ which has an almighty lingerie sale on in store at the moment and there are some fantastic bargains to be had. I’ll be honest, I never realised how good Reasonable Desires were until I visited recently. To be frank the presentation and orientation of the store has always put me off, but with hindsight that’s like judging a book by the cover. There are some very pretty sets on display and the sale enables you to snap up some beauties for as little as L$20 or L$50. Job done!
