Zooby’s new sim..

Zooby’s new sim..

..is absolutely beautiful. I’m just chillaxing away from the crowds, here to admire the new builds and see all the wonderful animals. I love Zooby’s, I have so many animals ( and even a cat avatar!) from here.  I really think Carrie has upped the stakes here by creating one of the best sims on the grid, and it has so much potential for expansion too. Unlike the previous Zooby’s you can test pets now beore purchase, and a lot of the older pets have been ‘refreshed’  Come along and have a look, the attention to detail is breathtaking!

Kitty’s birthday Countdown…

Kitty’s birthday Countdown…

10 days to go..WOOTTT! Allow me to indulge myself, but in ten days time I’ll be celebrating another year older, but definitely not wiser! To mark this exciting occasion (Look it’s exciting for me!! LOL) I thought I’d share some of my favourite images and outfits from my Flickr stream with you all. Now, don’t be alarmed, but some of these date back to my VERY early days in Second Life, so you’ll probably find that I look incredibly different…. Without further ado, here’s todays image which was taken almost exactly 12 months ago!
I *LOVE* this picture so much…I can’t remember the name of the pose unfortunately (It’ll be lost in a pose stand somewhere. I try to keep them in order but alas, you should see the state of my bleddy inventory..) but I really ought to try and find it again because I’d like to use it more often. You’ll see that I’m wearing my original ‘Naughty’ skin and my favourite hair of all time, ‘Patricia’ by ETD. Let’s be honest, doesn’t my arse look amazing! It’s a bit of a fapworthy shot this one, even if I do say so myself:) I hope you like!
Join the dots…I’ll get naked, you use your ‘special’ pen…

Join the dots…I’ll get naked, you use your ‘special’ pen…

Ahem! OK, so I recently blogged about how unutterably wonderful I thought REDGRAVE skins were (and of course I haven’t changed my opinion on that in any way, shape or form) but there’s a problem,  and that is once you find an amazing skin you start looking for the next one, and the next..and basically you get completely addicted to skin shopping. You’re always on the lookout for new make-ups and details and tones and, well..it all gets a little bit silly to be perfectly honest. I don’t give a monkeys though, because I’ve just found yet more skin perfection, this time from a company called ‘Curio‘. I’d never heard of them until a FashCon announcement pointed me in their direction..(Damn you Fashcon! /me shakes fist in mock anger) These skins tick all the right boxes, but the make-ups are really something else. It’s like you’ve tumbled head-first into the cosmetics counter in Boots and have sprayed ‘Dazzle Dust’ by Barry M and MAC eyeshadow everywhere (wouldn’t that be fun!)The eyshadow options are to *die* for and I got all breathless and funny when faced with all the choices.  For a start, the skin and make up I’m wearing here is from the ‘Luster’ range, and it’s called ‘Russet’. It’s PERFECT for this season and if you look closely you can see…freckles!! YAY! Kitty is a freckly chops! They are *fabbo* and each skin offers you the choice of with or without freckles , which is just ace. The more I get into skins the more I like the options certain designers offer, and the value that moles, freckles and even small scars add to your appearance should never be discounted.  I’m afraid it does cost to stand out in the crowd, but if that is your aim then a decent skin is your principle investment.  Redgrave skins are pricey, as are Curio, but they’re a seriously worthy investment. Anyways, the reason I’ve treated myself to a few of these is because the eyeshadows and the detailing in some of the make-up options is just staggering. Take the one I’m wearing, ‘Russet’.  The actual eye-make up, the under-eye shading and the lipstick are just divine.  The Dollyrock post a bit further down this page also features me wearing one of the make-ups for this skin (as well as Curio hair!) and it’s called ‘Nightshade’, but there’s nothing deadly about it..the colour choices are simply perfect.  Another one that really blew me away was ‘Emerald’, which as you can imagine is green, but that’s where my previous ‘Dazzle Dust’ metaphor comes in, as the green is so glittery and luminescent that it really does look as though eyeshadow has been scattered across the lids.  It’s not solid blocks of colour, but shading, shading and MORE shading that makes these beauties stand out from the crowd. I want them all and there are *many* packs to choose from.  There’s one called ‘Ivy’ that has, well, ivy-leaf patterned eyeshadow ( I know this sounds mad but trust me it works!) and I could go on but that would be spoiling your fun. Go and try these beauties on,  just for the sheer hell of it, because I KNOW that you will love them! Even if you don’t need anymore skins you should just pay Curio a visit for a seriously fun trying on session..just don’t blame me when you break your Linden-piggy bank!
Noam Sprocket- He puts the Gritty in the Kitty..

Noam Sprocket- He puts the Gritty in the Kitty..

Well, he might not put his Gritty in the Kitty, I don’t know what his preferences are, but if he ever feels like meeting this Kitty and discussing Gritty insertion he is *moar* than welcome! ( No not a spelling mistake, am overdosing on Lolcats at the moment)
Ahem. Backtrack..Deep breath and exhale into normality…ok, two words folks-GRITTY KITTY. I *need* to meet Noam Sprocket, I really do. First of all to tell him I love him, his amazing work and his blog which is a GREAT read, but also to tell him that his work is the glue that binds so many of my outfits together. (And also to say I hope you’re feeling better and give his tummy a gentle pat:)You see, it is my sincere opinion that you can’t do Neko/Grunge/Emo effectively UNLESS you incorporate a smidgen of Noam’s wonderfulness into your ensemble. Here is my evidence: this is the guy who created the AMAZING ‘Art Crime Bag’, which if you don’t own by now then you deserve to have bogeys flicked at you by irate marmosets. Noam seems to be completely at one with the zeigeist and he’s bang on when it comes to all his releases…I ALWAYS get excited when I see a group notice from him because I KNOW that he will have created something wonderful that will be worn by me for the rest of my virtual life. The other thing that Iove about Noam is that he has photographs on his blog that he’s used as source material to inspire his creations, and they’re pretty hot too, plus it just goes to show how ruddy talented he is that his designs are virtually spot on recreations of the snaps. Kitty LIKE very much…so if you’re in the mind for some shopping then click here to be whiskered away to happy:)
