There’s a hunt going on at the moment to celebrate the Summer Solstice. It’s a biggie;there are 55 locations in-world, and each one features an exclusive item for men AND women (It’s one of the rules of the hunt that both sexes must be catered for, which is nice) I’m planning on starting the hunt myself very soon so I can’t actually enlighten you as to what kind of items are included but I can tell you that previous hunts have provided some lovely clothes, jewellery and furniture so it’s well worth participating.
The hunt has it’s own web site and there’s a fabulous entry that features a link to each location as well as a clue to help you find the goodies; click HERE to visit it, and happy hunting!

Kittylicious presents ‘Litha’
Here’s a sneaky peak of my next shape release, called “Litha” after the Summer Solstice. She’ll be released this weekend and will retail for L$100 at my Kittylicious main store on NuRepublik…I think she is absolutely stunning, the perfect embodiement of the Goddess at this time of year.
I’m wearing her with the new ‘Aline’ skin from LAQ which features a spectacular array of mouthwatering make-ups and looks absolutely perfect with this shape, as you can see.
I’ll blog a little more about her when she is released, but until then look to my Flickr feed ( on the right hand side of this blog) where I will be posting pictures featuring Litha.
Uh-Oh..someone’s ripping Kitty off….
They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, which it may well be, but NOT when someone is making money off your image, and you aren’t even credited for it!
I was doing a search upon X-Street today, using the key words ‘Litha’ when I stumbled across this
It’s supposedly an art print called ‘Learning Wicca’, and it costs L$20. It’s actually a picture lifted off THIS website, taken by me ages ago when I visited Robin Wood’s Wicca Learning Centre (You can see the original picture and the post here)
Whoever Emma Flagon is, she is selling this work without my permission. To be honest, I wouldn’t waste L$20 on it, it’s not even an especially good picture and if you want a copy you can have one from me, for free! It would appear that Emma runs a gallery in one of my favourite regions, Witchfest. My picture is also on sale there, as well as countless other artworks.
This would indicate to me that Emma is of a Pagan persuasion, and if that’s the case then double shame on you Emma, for stealing someone elses work and passing it off as your own, and breaking the tenets of the Wiccan Rede…Incidentally she sells copies of the Wiccan Rede in her gallery, oh the irony of that. To be honest, if she had approached me and told me that she would like to sell the picture and had offered me a cut of the takings I would probably have agreed to it, but to take and not even ask it just not on.
I am FUMING. Can you tell?
Big Bad Blogger Challenge..Day Three!
SL Bloggers – How hard do you think it is to find a relationship in SL? If you have an SL relationship, have you met in the physical world? Would you meet them? Do you think it would change your SL relationship if you met?
I genuinely don’t think that it’s hard to find a relationship in SL at all. There are plenty of places to meet people and because of the nature of the environment it’s easy to fall into like with someone who shares similar interests to yourself..it’s only natural that would develop further.
I think because of the nature of the medium, relationships that develop in-world have an intensity that real life relationships don’t have. They also seem to develop at a much faster pace than in reality too, have you noticed that? It’s as though the virtual medium somehow intensifies the feelings.
Although I don’t have a romantic relationship with anyone in-world, I have very many friends and in particular, my best friend is a Second Life resident. I would tell her anything and everything, I utterly adore her and she gives me support when I need it, wise counsel when I don’t and some serious laughs in between. I firmly believe that friendship transcends any medium, and although ours is confined to a virtual world, I know that I can call on her for help should I need to. Although I haven’t met her in real life, I do think it would be nice to BUT it isn’t a necessity because our friendship continues to flourish regardless. What purpose would meeting in real life serve? I don’t think it would diminish our relationship, but I don’t think it could possibly make it any stronger than it already is either.
The only difference is that I’d be able to give her a real life hug:)
