Kitty Clean or Kitty Dirty?

Kitty Clean or Kitty Dirty?

Clean or Dirty? Which one do you prefer? That’s the choice you’re being given by Ellemeno, who have launched a rather lovely lingerie set exclusively for the Whore Couture Fair, which begins Friday March 1st.

It comprises of bra and pants with ribbon embellishment and authentic strap-detailing at the rear. as well as some special, erm, ‘enhancements’ for intimate occasions. The underwear is available in a delicious sorbet of colours; green, blue, pink, purple, red and yellow as well as black and white versions.

Image

To be honest the undies in the coloured options are so pretty that you could use them as bikini, as I have done in my picture.  The neutrals make great underwear, and the matching glasses really do add an extra layer of coordination to the look.

But of course you’re wondering what makes them ‘dirty’ aren’t you? Erm, well…

Image

Let’s put it this way, we’re not talking the kind of dirty that  involves laundry detergent.

What’s going on in the picture? Well, isn’t it obvious?! Kitty had an ‘accident ‘in the sauna when she was applying her ‘lotion’. (She was trying to do it carefully because she didn’t want to get the hose again) and as you can see clumsy Kitty spilled it all over her glasses and her frontage! (And there you were thinking it was something smutty! For shame!) What kind of a Kitty do you think I am? (No, don’t answer that question!)

Bra and panties set costs L$195 and you’ll receive both ‘clean’ and ‘dirty’ versions of the bra and pants plus Tango appliers. The glasses are available in a Gatcha at L$50 per play (The glasses are great, especially the pairs that have the ribbon adornment. Very Hello Kitty-esque!)

Incidentally, if you want to know more about the ‘Whore Couture Fair, then you’d better check out the blog, because it is going to be *huge*. It’s going to feature some of the brightest and best designers that the grid has to offer (obviously, seeing as CarrieAnn Lemon is taking part) and will probably dominate the Second Life blogosphere for the foreseeable..

That Vouboo that Schadenfreude does so well..

That Vouboo that Schadenfreude does so well..

I love me some collectibles.

In real life I collect Momiji Dolls. It’s barely a collection to be honest, as I only have four, but the nice thing is that each of them were gifts from my beloved on different occasions, and I utterly adore them. (Kitty glances up, looks at them and smiles happily.)

So you can imagine my absolute delight when I was mooching around  Schadenfreude and spied these ‘Vouboo Dolls’ in the Gacha! Squeee!

Image

Before we crack on , let me just say that if you’ve never visited the store before then you should, because Schadenfreude is a riot.  It’s a cacophony of colours and style, making it a scrumptious visual feast for the eyes, and retails what I guess you’d describe as ‘alternative’ items aimed at the more Gothic and Punk inclined among us.  You’ll discover fabulous hand-drawn items as well as corsetry and jewellery, dresses, shoes and men’s clothing.  There are even deco pieces and shoulder pets; if you like stripes and bold design you’re in for a treat.  There is a fantastic range of stuff and things to rummage through in the store, all carefully created in Allegory Malaprop’s inimitable style. (Allegory has the most impressive green Mohawk in Second Life, fact fans.) Plus the store build is amazing, it’s an elephant. (I kid you not!)

But  I digress, let’s get back to the Vouboo Dolls.

Image

These are my collection so far; aren’t they totally delicious?

Image

I’m so in love with these. Can you tell? <Chuckle>

They’re L$50 a pop, and there are 19 in Series 1 to collect. (Note the phrase ‘Series 1’; this makes me hopeful that there will be even more coming soon!) Of the 19, three are deemed rare and so far I haven’t got any of those, but the ones I have got are proudly displayed in my home. Each one is beautifully textured, as I hope you can tell from the photos that I’ve taken, and some even have additional features like ears and spikes and tails and..and.. and oh my, they’re just a bloody banquet on a stick of happy.  They just put such a huge smile on my face when I look at them!

The Vouboo Dolls are a real talking point, just like my Commoner Vice Jars and my Amuse wines, and I am gagging to get the whole set. I mean, literally desperate. I’ve even taken up ruddy fishing to get me some extra coin! (I’ll be writing a whole other blog-post about that, but I earned L$35 in just a few hours yesterday which is almost a punt on the Gacha. Yes I know I’m bloody addicted!!)

It’s hard to pick a favourite, but I really do love Voculo, the little multi-eyed purple monster. But then again I really love Mewbit, and Cerny too..gah! It’s too difficult to choose. They’re all sodding amazing. I’ve gotten a few repeats already but have passed them onto friends, thus introducing them to this evil but wonderful habit. I care not a jot. I think these Vouboo are tons of fun and owning them in-world just makes my Second Life that little bit better than it was before. I only wish you could buy them in real life!

And what will I do when I have the whole set? Well I spotted another gacha in store……

Image

LOOK! Foxy un-rigged mesh stoles at L$75 a pop! Bounce, bounce, bounce!

So wanna get the Vouboo habit? TP over to Schadenfrude and indulge in a bit of Gacha happy. It’s located on the bottom floor; you just need to slide down the pole to reach them and as soon as you land, there they are. Thanks so much Allegory for making these miniature bundles of doll-crack! Right, time to go fishing, I have a habit to feed!

Saturday night, Sunday Morning

Saturday night, Sunday Morning

Like I said in my last post, I’m all about the kitty-prints at the moment!

It’s not hard to find Leopard print items on the grid and they can look both really funky and chic. I created two different looks for a weekend that both feature Leopard print.

My first look is perfect for a raucous Saturday night bash at a local rock club. In real life, this combo (wombo combo! Ahem, sorry ;P)  would be ideal ‘cos if you got too hot and sweaty at a gig you could take off the shrug and tie it around your waist, and the print pants just scream rock and roll!

My two key parts to this look are a mesh shrug with tube-top from Cynful, and some jeans from Waffle.

Image

Cynful is a beautiful, high-end store that really stands out from the crowd. Walking into the store truly is a feast for the eyes with all the wares beautifully presented and the colours zinging out at you. It’s like a colour-swatch brought to life, making for a really enjoyable shopping experience.  I love whizzing around the store to see what’s new, and when I saw ‘Shruggable’ I knew it had to be mine!

‘Shruggable’ includes both mesh shrug and mesh tube top and comes in a glorious array of colours. I opted for black , so that I can mix and match both the shrug and top with other items in my inventory.  The shrug costs L$290 a pop, with an applier costing L$100.

This makes for an expensive item, but I think when you consider the versatility these pieces add to your wardrobe, as well as the fact that they’re mesh and beautifully textured (as is everything in store) the benefits outweigh the cost.  You’re paying for quality after all, Cynthia Ultsch’s designs are not cheap and the clothing sure reflects that.

Waffle! by contrast is cheap and cheerful and hurrah for that! This store comes straight from the imagination of the delightful Kiki Paine, and is located in the Dream Valley Plaza; a really neat and modern circular shopping zone.

Like Cynful the store itself is laid out in a really appealing manner and features some great items ranging from tattoos to underwear and separates, and you’ll find lots of outfits here that feature appliers as standard.  (I purchased my Camo drawstring tube-top from here, and that’s fast becoming a favourite of mine.) There’s a lot of choice in store, with the ‘Troublemaker Lingerie’ being especially alluring,  but my must-have item from here are the ‘Rock Chick Leopard Jeans’.  Not only are they a bargain at L$99 a throw, and come in a choice of five fabulous colours, but they look bloody brilliant worn  and go with loads of things lurking in my inventory, and looked excellent when worn with the Shruggable!

I teamed the outfit with a couple of necklaces; one which I’ve worn for a while now which is the Chinese motif necklace that’s sold as part of an outfit by Ducknipple. The Owl necklace was one of those things I’d forgotten that I had in my inventory, as you do. It was a happy find for me then, and funnily enough, it was from Happy Finds! (Run by the best named avatar in Second Life – Annoyingjapanesechild.dinosaur. Seriously!)  I’ve no idea how I forgot that it was there because I love owls, and this necklace is really well made and super cute to boot.

To finish I’m still wearing the Belleza skin, ‘Ava’ that I acquired a few weekends ago. I just LOVE the eye-make up on this skin, which is making it really hard to take off. (I’m into eye-make up on skins in a big way at the moment.) Fortunately by buying some lip colours I can make it more versatile, but I do wish there were more eye make-ups like this in store!

Finally the hair is by Elikatira. The sale was due to finish on the 23rd; and I confess that I haven’t visited in the past few days because if I had I would have probably bought the store. The sale sign did mention all styles would be retired once it finished; I have mixed feelings about that because part of me doesn’t want anyone else to miss out on the fabulousness that is Elikatira hair, but on the other hand I kinda like the idea of exclusivity that retirement sales bring. (Although judging by how many people purchased hair, most of the grid probably has this style anyway!) But here’s the thing, retiring these items means that new stock will be coming soon. Can you imagine? Squee! (And rumour has it that it will be mesh! Double yay!)

Image

Of course, after  Saturday night must come come Sunday morning, and my guess is that you’d be nursing a hangover and wanting something comfortable to wear.  (I picture Kitty about to go for Sunday lunch in this outfit. In real life I guess the skirt would be a teensy-weensy bit too short but hey, this is Second Life so I can wear my skirt how I want!)

For this look I teamed a lovely’ Nia’ jumper from Sn@tch with this scrummy mesh print skirt from Tentacio.  The sweater adds a little Schoolwear-chic, don’t you think? I’ve watched the store rise over the years and I’m so chuffed by how it has evolved and succeeded.   Ivey Deschanel works damn hard at her designs and there is some amazing clothing to be found there.

There are now lots of lovely mesh items to choose from, and I’m delighted that her range of clothing with appliers is increasing, as this picture shows. Even if the darker side of fashion isn’t your thing, I would still pay Sn@tch a visit, and I doubt that you’ll come back empty-handed. (Trust me on this, you won’t.)

Once you’ve drooled all over my sweater, be sure to check out my skirt. I’m so excited by this mesh skirt! (Can you even be excited by a skirt? LOL)

I don’t wear skirts that often in-world  but since finding this wee beauty I’ve not taken it off. Even better there are a few more to choose from in the range and they’re a fabulous price of just L$70!  Incidentally if you haven’t checked out Tentacio before then I insist you stop reading and go there NOW. It’s just totally brilliant, oozing hipster styling from every pore and the prices are fantastic.

To finish the look I elected to wear my ‘Tassels’ necklace from Glow Studio, and the rather fetching Jamie hairstyle by Wasabi Pills, which is fast becoming a favourite hair store of mine. I love the textures that they use on their hair in store, and it’s a must visit for long-hair lovers. The Jamie style is beautifully crafted and I love the way it drapes over the shoulder and across the face.  (It doesn’t interfere with mesh bewbs either !)

So what do you think? I hope you like both these looks as much as I do, and I am certainly having fun wearing them. And speaking of fun, see the jukebox that I’m standing in front of? Isn’t it bloody glorious!  It’s from ‘The Stuff Store’, and the stuff that they sell is rather special indeed!  I first discovered them when I decided to buy Dad something nice for his new pad. I thought a juke box would be ideal to finish off the bar area against his home, so I did a search on the marketplace and found ‘The Juke’. This mesh creation evokes a golden era, as does most of the other retro ‘stuff’ in Crias Rowlands’ eclectic store.  It comes in both Modern and Retro versions, is mesh and weighs in at just 8 prims, which is astonishing when you consider the detail. It serves as a land radio featuring 80 stations, so there should be music available to suit every taste, and something I really like is the fluorescent tubing on the front of the unit which, when switched on, creates the perfect ambience.  It really is a stunning, substantial piece of kit and really turns your house into a home.

Well that’s me sorted for the weekend, I’m just gonna sit in front of my Juke and enjoy some tunes I think!

Whatever you’re doing in world this weekend, real or virtual, I hope it’s a corker, and if you’re bored why not check out the stores I’ve listed in this post? Happy shopping!

I’m on a mission at the moment to find good quality clothing for avatars who choose to wear mesh breasts. There are so many stores on the grid that don’t accommodate them yet, and I sure as hell enjoy wearing mine, so I dream of a day when a store like Cold Logic will incorporate appliers into their range.

That’s not to say that there aren’t any good clothing options out there already.  There certainly are; Patchwork Heart, Ellemeno and Cynful immediately spring to mind. There are other smaller names too, but at the moment I’m seeing a lot of the same templates being used for clothing for busty avvies in stores. I’ve no issue with that per se as long as interesting textures and adornments are used to make the item stand out from the crowd.

I do hope there’s not going to be a controversial ‘them and us’ culture develop among designers leading to some sort of great divide around who caters to boobies and who doesn’t.   The fact remains that there’s a lot of fetish wear and items that expose part, or all of your knockers to the metaverse, and I don’t necessarily want to do that.  I may wear mesh boobies, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that I want to look like a tart.

At the moment my gut suggests such a division may be unlikely, especially when you have trailblazers like Strawberry Singh owning some norks and taking amazing photographs in them. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see! (I’d be interested in your comments on this issue reader, please feel free to add them below)

I’m also very into big-cat print clothing at the moment. I’ve not gone full on Bet Lynch, but I do like a nice tiger stripe, or leopard spot skirt. I’ve found a couple of items on my travels that I’m going to share with you; and first up is this rather lovely shirt from a store called QE,  located on the Jersey Shore.

Actually the HQ for the ‘Big Boobie Babes SL’ group is directly opposite the store. (Incidentally, that’s your  starter for ten, because if there’s a group HQ on the sim you’re bound to be able to find some boobie-wear nearby.  And that I did!)

QE retails a mixed bag of fashion and you’ll find basic wardrobe staples such as dresses and tops. The range isn’t extensive but I have a hunch that this is because the creator, Emms, is probably busy working on new range additions.  There are some items that I think you’ll like.  Look out for the ‘Bambi Dress’ which comes in a variety of options, plain or patterned, but the patchwork styling has a nice hippy feel to it. It’s mesh as well, which makes it even more appealing, and not bad for L$250.

There are some basic jersey dresses, always a good investment at just L$169, and you can choose from black, red or pink.  Again, as with the majority of items in-store, they all include appliers.  The ‘Cozy Sweater’ is not dissimilar to the shape of the ‘Open Sweater’ at Ellemeno. This isn’t a problem for me though, as I said previously it’s what designers do with the template items that’s important, and Emms has applied a lovely chunky knit with contrast pockets to her sweater design.  The open styling of course means it’s wearable with mesh boobies, and they’re a nice addition at L$150. (Even better , the ‘Cozy Sweater’ in green, costs just L$1 so a great dollarbie addition to your wardrobe!)

My favourite item in store is the ‘Button Down Top’in ‘Classic Cheetah ‘design, which I’m wearing in my picture above. There’s a variety of these tops on sale, but I wanted animal print and this shirt was most definitely relevant to my interests. It’s sexy (open to just above the waist) but not over-the-top, and it’s also an absolute bargain at L$120, and looks great with a pair of mesh jeans, some chunky bangles and your fave flat shoes. Well, that’s how I’m wearing mine anyway.

QE has a number of satellite stores around the block; you’ll find it at Cleavage, Calista and Sense Appeal as well so you may well encounter the store while out shopping or doing other stuff and things, and I heartily recommend it for building up your booby wardrobe at a low price. Essential purchases for me are the Jersey dresses and Button Down Tops, you can do so much with them:)

(NOTE: The main store is actually (according to Emm’s profile) based at Sense Appeal, but I visited and it’s actually a hardcore sim ( A future breeding lab apparently. My eyeballs were on stalks!) and I couldn’t see the store; but I did see other things. Yikes!)

Styling Notes: In the picture above Kitty wears shirt from QE, Jewellery by Earthstones, Skin by Belleza and hair by Elikatira
