..because, if you don’t, you will miss out on seeing first hand without any hassle the sheer gorgeousness that is the Skin/Shape Expo 2009.

Obviously it’s going to be busy with a capital ‘B’, and although the sim has been designed with the aim of minimal lag in mind let’s face it, there are bound to be problems getting in…but there is a way to see all the goodies without experiencing rez-hell.

So, go and make a cup of tea, sit down and CLICK HERE…because the link will take you to the Expo booklet that has been produced by Zoe Demar, and it is 96 pages of sheer delight on a stick. She’s created a genuinely beautiful bible of all the wonders on display for you to sit and peruse at your leisure.  You can use the booklet to make a list of all the vendors that you want to visit.  If you ask me the biggest enjoyment from the whole experience is the aimless meandering around these kinds of shows, and the frisson of excitement that you get when visiting a store you wouldn’t normally bother with before being completely gobsmacked by the wares on display…SO, take your time and wallow in the beauty of Zoe’s images and then hit the expo!  I’m so utterly chuffed to be included! ( I’m on page 75…wee!) Thank You Zoe for all your hard work on the booklet – in fact thanks to everyone behind the project: Foxy, Maddox and Sasy ( nd anyone that I’ve unintentionally missed out!) It’s going to be a GREAT success and lets hope it raises oodles of spondoolicks for the nominated charity. ‘Susan G Komen For The Cure’.

During the expo I’m going to blog some of the skins that are available for purchase, and obviously in a shameless act of self-promotion I’ll team them with my shapes…

First up  is this utter bobby dazzler by Curio. I’ve ALWAYS loved Curio skins, and this one is a beauty. The sheer colouration and the skin blemishes are obviously painstakingly worked into this design with the utmost care. I mean, just look at my norks in this picture!! No-seriously..just look. Perfect aren’t they? That’s because this skin has near perfect shading which provides a sense of depth and authenticity which is hard to come by.  I mean,  just look at those nipples for nomminess!
In all seriousness though, this is a fabulous skin.

It’s very ‘real’, BUT you can really sense an edginess to it. The face is simply breathtaking on this, making the entire look just utterly beautiful.
It’s hard to put into words what it’s like to wear a Curio skin because they are an experience entirely unto themselves.  In my opinion that’s due to the subtle fantastical feel that the skins seem to possess..it renders them very special indeed, so I strongly suggest that if you have never tried them before that you use the expo to your advantage and give them a try. 

Finally, I’m wearing the Kittylicious Ultimate Kittycurve! shape in this picture (L$100) and I think it looks spot on with the skin, plus my usual Miriel eyes (Sepia tone) and some of the latest hair by Truth. This one is called ‘Miaa’ in Mahogany and I think it’s one of his best so far…

All in all I think this is completely ravishing and I hope you agree! (Go check out the Expo!!)

Well, the shapes have been made, the vendors are installed and the Skin and Shape Expo 2009 is good to go!  Guys, it looks AMAZING and if you’re looking for the opportunity to acquire some beautiful skins and bodacious shapes then you’d better get ready because you’re in for the treat of a lifetime.  Some of the best designers in world, as well as some of the most promising newcomers, are all showcasing their wares at this 2 week event (myself included)

I can’t tell you how exciting it is wandering around the minimally styled sim and peek in  through the doors of each store and see the riot of colours and designs exploding upon the walls..it’s so utterly enticing that you will need all your wits about you to ensure that you don’t spend an absolute fortune there..I know it will be a struggle for me!

So, let me tell you about my wee outlet there. It’s choc full of Kittylicious goodness…For starters, I’ve selected 8 of my signature range of shapes to display at the expo.  Each shape retails at L$100, like they do in store, BUT for the Expo ONLY there is a rather amazing deal, which is all 8 of these signature shapes for JUST L$500!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST….This is a charity event so you can also purchase a shape that is rather close to my heart.  It is inspired by, and named after, my beloved RL BFF ‘Dee’, who died from Breast Cancer just over a year ago. ‘Dee’ is a lovely shape with an utterly beautiful face, and costs just L$300, with 50% of proceeds going to the ‘Susan G Koman-For The Cure’ charity. I hope you will find a place in your heart for this very special shape….

**What you won’t find at the Expo**
You won’t find all of my shapes on display at the expo, nor will you find the Posemaster range of Poses, or The ‘Desperate Romantics’ Collection…but what you will find is the same Kittylicious! quality and value that you’ve come to expect from my exclusive range.

Morning y’all! I’m busily preparing for the imminent arrival of the ‘Skin And Shape Expo’ that I’m particpating in. It begins at the weekend and I have LOTS to do. I’m creating tons of new shapes especially for the event, and working really hard to make sure that each one looks perfect. This shape is one that I am especially fond of. The expo is asking each designer to contribute a shape to raise money for cancer charities, and as regular readers will be aware that these kinds of charities are especially close to my heart.

This shape, therefore, is my contribution and she will ONLY be available at the fair. It’s called ‘DeeDee’ and I hope you love her as much as I do:)
