Multiple orgasms are so last year..

Multiple orgasms are so last year..

..I’d rather have multiple Octopodes instead thank you very much, and now I can..weee!
Here’s a sneaky peak at a forthcoming Fall hunt treat for fans of Sienia Trevellion’s Agent Orange label..Octopus cuddlies! One for the shoulder, and one to snuggle.   Sculpty-plushie bliss doesn’t come much better than this!

Agent Orange is such a corking store full of quirks and all things nommy, and the hunt gifts are always worth making the effort to seek out and find..how can you resist?

Not sure when the hunt begins, so watch this space..until then check out Agent Orange. ( Hint- there’s a satellite store next to mine in Malt! Click on my link in the sidebar to take a look…)

Is your hometown on the grid?

Is your hometown on the grid?

Probably not I’m afraid:(  Rikomatic  blogged about a map of real life places represented in Second Life, so of course I had to go peek..Initially I thought that this was a fun idea, but actually it shows just how fragmented the grid is when it comes to representing real world places. For example, click on my location, the UK , and you get Liverpool, London and Great Yarmouth!?! (Don’t snigger- I’ve been there in SL and it’s actually quite sweet!) and that’s it. Seriously, for the whole of England just three places represented.  Even worse, Scotland is represented by, erm, Scotland..whereas Ireland features Cork and Dublin. To be honest what should be a fun clickathon is actually quite depressing because according to the map these are the only real-life locations represented in game? Where’s Edinburgh?  Cardiff? In fact..what the hell happened to Wales?

Here’s my take on this idea.  If I was a Linden I’d want the capital city of each country that participates in SL (ascertained by looking at demographics of in-world users) to be  represented in-world at the very least.

These places would have info-hubs and hang-outs for people of that nationality, but also so newbies could be helped out by people in their native tongue. Additionally I’d use this capital city feature to advertise destinations, places of interest and cultural matters that closely identify with that particular area.  In fact, you could take it further, if the Lindens were to team up with an enterprising tourist company think of the possibilities! You could visit these places in world and if you liked what you saw you could click  a display that would whisk you away to an external site to book your real-life holiday there.  Think about it- that could work?Second Life equios us with a myriad of possibilities like this for the world-wide tourist industry and I’m sure once the recession starts to ease off people will be more interested in holidays again..so it *could* work.

I think  the map is a brilliant idea, but until it’s more densely populated I can only view it as a half-finished project with lots of potential.  Deep down I guess that I’m just pissed that my home town, Chesterfield isn’t on the grid.  It would be great to recreate the ‘Crooked Spire’ in-world as well as the  market area and the cobbled streets…..any takers?

What’s the most annoying thing at wedding receptions?

What’s the most annoying thing at wedding receptions?

Apart from brides in fancy meringue dresses and drunken uncles trying to do ‘The Moonwalk’ and failing miserably, and ending up in Casualty in the process?
Yes, that’s right folks..it’s kids running around the dance-floor pretending to be aeroplanes and making you spill your Mojito….grrrr

Once you’ve finished shoeing them to within an inch of their lives* you may be relieved to know you can now recreate that experience in Second Life as well! (Playing aeroplanes that is, not the shoeing) Well, not exactly..but this pose, from a series called ‘Balance’, is perfect should you wish to photograph yourself participating in such madness. The pose is from a chap called Idoru Cyberstar ( LOVE the name) aka ‘The Posemaster’ and he’s just released a series of excellent poses for your delectation. The sets are called ‘Balance’, ‘Protect and ‘Sentry’ and individual poses are L$40 each. I think the poses are perfect for storytelling (if you go and take a peek you’ll see what I mean) because they have a narrative quality to them that makes them different to your standard SL modelling pose.I don’t think I’m surprising anyone by stating that the Japanese designers are some of the most creative on the grid..it’s eclectic creativity at it’s best and never ceases to amaze, and ‘The Posemaster‘ seemingly carries on this tradition for a touch of the avant garde (I wonder what the Japanese equivalent for that phrase is?)  To round off the Japanese theme I’m wearing a freebie favourite of mine from Honey. I acquired this off XstreetSL a long time ago, BUT I didn’t realise that there was a store on the grid until today. I took a peek and was pleasantly surprised – great value dresses and tops with the same stylish flair, as well as some utterly random gubbins that only Japanese designers could come up with. The prices are great; for example there are some gorgeous dresses for a mere L$50 and the prices are pretty consistent throughout. There’s also some menswear in the shape of jackets and vest tops..not as great a selection but quality nontheless.

There you go then, that’s my contribution to international relations for the day! Right then..where’s that Mojito?
*Please note, Kitty does not in anyway condone violence, especially to children. Although sometimes a flick on the ear may be appropriate.

Kittylicious! Amanda Shape

Kittylicious! Amanda Shape

If you’re after a funky tomboy shape that looks great in baggies, tatts and bracers then I think I’ve got *just* the shape for you!

In actual fact, I’ve been planning this shape for a while, and I’m really pleased with the result. It’s inspired by my BB Amanda Shinji, aka Miss Cyberpink..and I’m pretty sure she’ll shit herself when she sees this..hee hee!  If you’ve never met her let me start by telling you that Mands is the coolest person I know in SL.  Not only that she’s been my rock since Dee passed.   She’s done such a lot for me too..she saved me from losing my virtual home for a start. It must sound strange, but even though I have no idea what she looks like in RL, nor have I ever heard her voice, I can say hand on heart that she is 100% the best friend I never thought I’d ever have after losing Dee. That left such a gap, and although Dee could never be replaced I’ve found a friendship just as rewarding, fun and absolutely vital to me..aren’t I lucky? Mands is in a lot of ways my polar opposite, yet don’t you find that it’s often the differences that often make friendships and relationships work so well?  What we do share, we share so well: a love of dance music and cats, movies and motorsports amongst other things. I’m so pleased she’s found a wonderful partner in Sable Sunset and it really does make me so proud when I hear her dropping some phat beats down at Republik!

Anyways, enough flannel..if you’re after a funkalicious shape to wear down the club in world this one is DEFO the choice you should make.  Amanda features subtle curves and norks that won’t poke your eyes out.  The body is well proportioned with lovely legs and a hint of the athletic.  I’ll be putting her on sale very soon, and she’ll be on offer at L$50 for a limited period:) I’m wearing her with LAQ skin here and I think she looks bloody lovely..just like the real deal!

Shinjles, this one is for you babes- with lots of love from me, and a heartfelt thank you for everything you do xxx
