Party like it’s a new decade!

Party like it’s a new decade!

I think it’s a fair assumption to say that for most of us, 2019 has been a bit of a stinker of a year. For me personally it’s been an absolutely horrible time, and I will be celebrating with my beloved and generally being very chuffed that we can tell 2019 to piddle off into the sunset.

2020: new decade, new beginnings and all that….

If you want to bring 2020 in in style then you MUST get yourselves over to UBER SL to see what Ria Bazar has created for us. It’s an absolutely glorious table and tableware set, with plates that rez actual food and glasses that rez water and your preferred alcohol selection, along with a drinks trolley that you can fill with a champagne tower and confetti and balloons galore!

The marble table and matching drinks trolley are accompanied with bang on trend clear plastic seating. You can simply rez the whole lot in a few seconds using the rezzer included in the entire package. It’s like magic. You can also buy parts individually which is super convenient, I for one know there will be elements of this set that I will be keeping on display at home well into the new decade.

The thing with Ria’s work is it’s ALWAYS been about the details, and there are plenty of those on display from the patterned and functional tableware to the food that you can rez in your bowls. It’s a lot of fun to discover whats on the menu so I won’t list it all and spoil it all for you; but who knew there were so many risotto options?

I placed my drinks cart to the side and decorated it with a couple of bottles of plonk, a fabulous champagne glass tower and on the bottom shelf I added the ‘Countdown Clock’ cake from Andika, also available at UBER SL

I’ve basically rezzed all of it along with the number balloons and it looks absolutely great. I’m not sure if anyone will come to the party, but jokes on them if they miss out on all this lovely, lovely booze and food and cake! I’ve developed an extra chin and love handle over Christmas, won’t hurt to add a few more inches…

The entire set costs a measly L$589, but parts of it are also available separately (all prices in Linden dollars, obviously):

Table: L$129

Chair: L$159

Place setting: L$119

Boxed Balloon: L$49

Champagne: L$25

Rose: L$25

Cart:L$89

Champagne tower: L$49

Confetti: L$25

Texture options include: gold, silver and rose gold.

Number Balloons set costs L$329, with individual numbers on sale for L$49 (Again, the set includes gold, silver and rose gold options)

I’ve said it before and it bears repeating, Ria Bazar REALLY puts the effort into her work and this is a creation that will give you a lot of joy, not just on New Year’s Eve but throughout 2020 and beyond.

Whenever RIA BAZAR launches a new product you *KNOW* that it’s going to be a corker, and her new collection, ‘Berlin’, is no exception.  The set features a fantastic, I-wish-I-could-really-sit-on-that sofa brimming with texture and animation options, props included. To compliment there is a fantastic selection of accessories available, including a rug, cabinet, plants, artwork and a nifty coffee table made from books.  Some of these items are texture change too. The feature lighting, a chandelier made from hollow cubes, is a real show-stopper. This set would feature really well in a modern environment and works spectacularly well with some of Ria’s other releases. You really can fill your home from top to bottom with BAZAR pieces and be assured of one of the funkiest looking homes on the grid.  (I’ve photographed mine in the SCHULTZ BROS. ‘Moderna’ house from this month’s DECOCRATE)

The best bit? The full set costs just L$437 for the PG, or L$487 for Adult.  Pieces are available individually too, but seriously, don’t bother; just load up on the full deal, because it’s so worth it!

You’ll find this amazing purchase at 6 REPUBLIC  until 20th May.  Click here to TP!

London Living By Ria Bazar @ 6REPUBLIC

You still have a few days left to get yourselves over to 6Republic and shop for goodies for your virtual abode, and if you don’t actually have an abode then may I make a suggestion? How about nabbing yourself one of the nicest, and most original, skyboxes that is currently available in Second Life? Let me back up a bit: this current round of 6Republic is a tale of two cities: London and New York to be precise.  The furnishings and builds at the event have all been inspired by these locations; think prints with skyscrapers, fire hydrant fittings and industrial style furniture as well as union flags galore, but it’s the builds which really evoke the spirit of these great cities, and the latest mesh skybox from Ria Bazar is the Second life equivalent of having your very own London penthouse.terace_001First of all the exterior of this build is a real 3D treat- you actually have a London street featuring building facades and greenery.   This is great scene setting; you can use this exterior to take pictures in, or just enjoy the view from your balcony window.  The skybox sits within this street surround so you get a great view from all of your windows, and it really does make it feel just right. It’s perfect for pictures!London Apartment 3The skybox interior is nicely textured with features like working windows and doors, along with radiators and UK plug sockets.  The walls have been decorated to suggest a revamped apartment that has seen slightly better days, and there’s a bold Banksy inspired print adorning one of the walls to give a really modern edge to the environment. The build centrepiece is the lift (elevator).  That’s right; rather than a staircase there’s a working lift to take you between floors, how classy is that?! The detail upon this is pretty dazzling and I urge you to have a gander! Check out the construction of the lift capsule itself, the rope pulleys and mechanised elements all look pretty dazzling and very unusual.London Apartment  There’s plenty of living space too for you to decorate and the textures that have been used here combine perfectly to evoke a modern space ripe for dressing.  I particularly enjoyed the bathroom; it’s tiny but I used pieces from the Bazar ‘Floria’ Bathroom to fill it and make a space that I could imagine relaxing in at the end of a long, hot London day. I can just imagine lazing in the tub with the window open, listening to the sounds of the birds and the traffic from the street below…London Apartment 2I love a good skybox; I love placing furniture in them and I love where they take your imagination to.  This one definitely took me on a journey to the best city in the world, and I’m sure it will do the same for you.  Be sure to check it out at 6REPUBLIC, and then the BAZAR main store!

MBA: Weekend at Jez’s

MBA: Weekend at Jez’s

weekend_001I don’t do well waking up in a strange bed, but Jez’s new place is a bit of a fancy home-from-home, so I woke up feeling pretty rested after lugging my massive suitcase full of outfits there for the weekend. It felt very odd though; no cats for a start (my skybox is festooned with them!) so I’ve spent most of the day trying to convince him that he needs one, or two.  Perhaps three. Anyway, today I wanted to keep it pretty and simple, so I hung around the pad listening to music and dancing around in my BLUEBERRY ‘Milly’ Leather Shorts.  These are short, stylish and oh so tight that they almost gave Jez a coronary! But despite being leather shorts you can actually dress them up really well; I combined mine with a kimono and some statement jewellery and looked pretty neat, even if I say so myself! weekend_003A soak in Jez’s BAZAR ‘Toronto’ tub allowed me to think about the important things in life, like can the neighbours see my mimsy because Jez’s curtains are the very definition of inadequate?  No matter, we’ve all seen virtual vajay-jay before, so out of the tub I hopped into my lovely DOLLE robe (still available at WHORE COUTURE FAIR 5) and made like I knew what I was going to wear tonight..weekend_004Which of course I didn’t. It’s fair to say I had NO IDEA what I would be wearing.  You know when you have a drawer with personal items stored in it at your boyfriend’s house? I have a whole rail of clobber and of course,  I’d brought a suitcase full yet I had no idea what to wear! GAH!weekend_005Fortunately, MESH BODY ADDICTS BI-MONTHLY saved me again! This beautifully embellished lace and pearl cocktail dress from UNITED COLOURS  makes a statement without needing any additional items such as bold earrings or necklaces. It fits my MAITREYA body perfectly with just a hint of a cinch at the waist.  A slick of lipstick from my AMARA BEAUTY ‘Kat’ Lipstick Palette (to match my CATWA head) and I’m good to go!

So the question is, where’s Jez?!
