Cold Logic Goes To London

Cold Logic Goes To London

I love logging in to surprises..you know, death threats, final demands..<sigh>

Occasionally I log in to *nice* surprises. The kind that make me go “Squee” with delight, run around in an exhaustive fashion and have to change my Tena-Lady. They are *Good* surprises.

So it was with sheer joy that I logged in today and found a package from Cold Logic.   Yes, I KNOW I blog a lot about Cold Logic and I KNOW I blog a lot about Jane, but seriously until someone starts making clothes to the same standard then quite frankly I reserve the right to blog about their awesomeness until the cows come home, put the kettle on and watch Coronation Street.

So with that out of the way, feel free to salivate over this frock that I’m wearing. It’s called ‘London’ and it’s in plum too, my favourite colour. ISN’T IT GRAND?! It’s actually deceptively simple; it’s a plain shift embellished with a gauze that features a delicate dot-print. It’s over one shoulder too, making it totally on trend and perfect for partying. (It’s the kind of dress in real life that I’d wear to a wedding reception; except alas I couldn’t wear it in real life because I’d look like an elephant with thrombosis. Thank God for SL!)

The mesh shape is excellent, as you would expect from Cold Logic. It has the realism and draped feel that’s required for this kind of style, and it nails it. In fact, it has an almost Toga-like vibe to it, don’t you think? Looks great when you move too (In a ladylike fashion, natch) and is perfect with some killer heels and going back to my Toga comment I actually think you could wear this with some gladiator style sandals and totally nail the look. (Backtrack: I think this may be why it’s called ‘London’..you know, Olympics and such-like. I’ll shush now)

This is versatile styling so you can be delicate with your jewellery and hair or wear something totally OTT; the dress serves as a perfect base for either look. I’ve gone delicate, choosing to wear some contrasting jewellery from Earthstones, along with my Curio Skin and some hair that I picked up at Hair Fair yesterday from Iren (which I shall blog about later)

I think I look a proper bobby-dazzler in this one.. Deffo worth chatting up at the bar:) Oh, and I know what you’re thinking, “But tell us how much it is Kitty!” Here’s the BEST bit.

It’s a FREEBIE.

Join the Cold Logic Update Group in-store and you’ll get this for your trouble…I know right?!

Better get going then…here’s your TAXI

..have done it again. They’re released a lovely range of late Spring/Summer dresses and for me these are the pick of the bunch. The creasing is just amazing; it looks so real, and the drape of the dress is perfect. The colour choices are  muted and sublime, making them easy to wear and perfect for a myriad of occasions. Finally the blossom motif is understated yet elegant.L$350 each (a bit pricey but well worth the investment) or L$900 for the fat pack.

Freebie Mesh Goodness from Jane and Cold Logic

Freebie Mesh Goodness from Jane and Cold Logic

So, any luck getting into March Mesh Madness 2012?  Nah, me neither..which is doing my ‘ead in a wee bit because it features twenty, yes, TWENTY (drool!) of the finest mesh magic-makers on the grid today and promises to be an absolute joy to behold. If I could only blinking well get in. Each time I try the region is full, and I fear it’s going to remain that way all weekend.  It won’t help you in your suffering if I tell you that there promises to be a vast array of mesh only hair, shoes, accessories, clothing, and home furnishings on sale; but I can offer you a wee smidgen of comfort in some fine freebies that are currently doing the rounds.

First up, Jane has sent out this glorious frock to her subscribo group members. It’s called ‘Grace’ and is a beautifully simple frock that you can accessorise into splendidity! ( I think I just made a word up there; go me!). Think scarves, jackets, leggings; the possibilities for dressing up this baby are endless, and Janie Marlowe has been even more generous by sending three colours of the gift to members; Apricot, Khaki and Navy, so there’s a colour scheme to fit every occasion.  I chose navy to illustrate how fab this gift is:

Lush isn’t it? And as if that isn’t enough to moisten yourself over, well you remember the freebie I mentioned was available at Cold Logic? It’s a winter dress, and it’s rather glorious as you can see below:

Again, you get three colours in your gift; Stone, Ruby and Clay. I’m feeling a tad fiery so I just went for the Ruby shade, and it’s lovely isn’t it?

Last up, I also mentioned earlier that there’s a hunt taking place in the Cold Logic store, and the gift is easy to find and well worth your time too.  It’s a spiffing top with fabulous shaping to the neckline, waist and cuffs.

I love how the creasing gives it a real authentic flair..great isn’t it? And again, you get three shades in your gift; black, red and navy. So, there you have it, more than enough treasures to keep you going until you can get into March Mesh Madness! (I wouldn’t bother at the moment though, I’ve just checked the map again..green dot city.  BAH HUMBUG!)

Note: I’m going to try and NOT blog Jane and Cold Logic for at least a few days now..I seem to have become a tad obsessed!

Loving the ‘Cohen’ Jumpsuit from Cold Logic…

Loving the ‘Cohen’ Jumpsuit from Cold Logic…

…fits like a *dream*.  One of the problems with Mesh, as I’m sure readers are aware, is the faff of fitting.  All this rigged and unrigged nonsense and wearing alpha layers; does my nut in. But when results are *this* good it is so, so worth it. In fact I just slipped the medium size on and it fitted me perfectly, and I am in no way a skinny av! Doesn’t it look bloody fantastic? I can’t tell you how impressed I am with Cold Logic, in fact it’s going to become a favourite store of mine, I can just tell.  Prices are on the high side though, BUT I think with Mesh being relatively new still we’re bound to see that.  This jumpsuit is L$425. It comes with two belt colours (I’ve gone for the platinum styling here) and of course there’s a range of fits in the box. As always, DEMO DEMO DEMO. You have *no* excuse not to, and besides, it’s part of the fun:) I’ve teamed the jumpsuit with a Miel necklace I found during a rummage session, and some funky hair from Dura. I love this jumpsuit; I love everything about this store and it practically makes me damp with excitement (Too much info? I care not a jot!)

Note there’s a hunt in store at the moment ( in fact you can almost see the hunt item’s whereabouts in this picture; no it’s not on the board that’s too obvious..durrr) It’s also very busy..but that’s possibly because people can’t get into the Mesh expo that’s going on at the moment…oh yes, MOAR MESH!!!  Anyway, here’s your Taxi to Cold Logic, enjoy the ride!
