I’m tired of feeling like I’m f**king crazy…

I’m tired of feeling like I’m f**king crazy…

Regular readers will be well aware that I do like a nice frock, oh, and a nice jumper too. Try as I might I have NEVER been able to get into the mindset that you can wear what you want all year round in Second Life. Can’t do it, won’t do it, and to be perfectly honest a lot of designers won’t, either. Thank the Goddess for that!

At this time of year I’m generally  easy to find scurrying around the grid with reckless abandon like a squirrel on a mission,   looking for the new season’s latest  jumpers and jumper dress releases, and assorted items of comfort clothing to add to my vast collection and readers, let’s be honest here, it’s an issue.

But I don’t care, winter is practically here, the heating is on and I want a nice snuggly long jumper and socks to wear in my virtual life AS WELL AS my real one.  (Naturally, I look a darn sight better in my virtual existence than I do in my real one sporting such comfort attire, but that’s a given!)

Let’s completely ignore the fact that my socks and frock leave a gap where I’m sure to feel a draught around my virtual tumpsy but anyway, I do like this long jumper from RINGO HANNA that I sourced from the latest TRES CHIC event. It’s your basic long knit style that we have kinda seen a million times before but it just works, you know?

I wanted to pair this with some long, lace-trimmed socks of which I’ve seen countless pairs on fashion feeds over the years but you know what, when I wanted them I just couldn’t find them. FFS. So I bought a cheapo pair from the marketplace; a nice straightforward pair with some lacing to the top which adds interest to the look. It’s simple, it’s comfy, what more do you want?

Finally, let me draw your attention to my face. I’m wearing NAR MATTARU‘s ‘Banshee’ eyeshadow on my eyes and I am in love.  Frankly, deep down I am very much a Goth chick at heart and always have been, and I’ve grown up with a particular affection for Siouxsie Sioux. I also play Sisters Of Mercy on a regular basis and have for many years yearned to be Patricia Morrison, but anyway, at least I find a vent for that in Second Life because frankly I look a chuff with black hair (left dye on it once for too long, never again, I’ll stick to dark brown ta very much) and my hooded eyes make winged eyeliner practically impossible.

Second Life, in this case, then is definitely an outlet for my more outlandish makeup dark fantasies and I’m all for the changes that bakes on mesh have brought in and look forward to playing with layers galore on my current head du jour (although as I understand it Genus have not updated to ‘Bakes on Mesh’ yet…)

Anyway, this makeup combo plus this fantastic long hairstyle from MOON makes me look very, well, Lana Del Rey.  Even more so than the actual Landa Del Rey skin I’m wearing; I’ve certainly not adjusted my shape to make myself look more like her and didn’t buy the skin for that reason, I just liked it, but it certainly strikes me as interesting how much a heavy liner eye look has added some hints of ghetto Nancy Sinatra to my appearance, and I’m loving it.

I Surrender To The Truth..

I Surrender To The Truth..

UBER is upon us and it’s a very Springy edition; lots of dresses, shorts and skimpy outerwear, underwear and as a total contrast some spectacular furnishings and dwellings too. I have literally ONE PRIM left at home. It kills me; I rearrange my furniture as often as I take my pants out of my buttcrack (they creep in, a lot) but I’ve got it looking ‘just right’ at the moment (my house, not my buttcrack) so I can’t spare any primmage for the glorious  ASTRALIA BBQ set, for a start. GAH!!!!Surrender to the Truth...However, I can spare the primmage for new hair. My long hair addiction continues and it has been more than satisfied by this release from TRUTH. It’s called ‘Surrender’ and it’s a beautiful, flowing, layered beauty. I messed up a bit actually because I did a naughty- I did the ‘buy before try’ and I should’ve done it the other way around so that I could play with more colours but nay mind, as they say around here, I have it and I feel gorgeous in it. So here is a picture of me being gorgeous in it, and I’m giving myself serious Kate Beckinsale vibes. If you love long hair then you need this in your life, obviously. I love the Styling Hud that’s included so I could wear my hair over my shoulders but I just wanted to wear my hair down, loose and free at the front for this snap. I’m still wearing my NYLON OUTFITTERS undies from COLLABOR88. They could do with a wash, to be honest…

I Need To Be Alone Or I’m Gonna Lose My Shit

Now, I KNOW I’ve been wearing long hair recently bit if you’re a long time reader of ‘Kittywitchin’ then you’ll be well aware of my all-encompassing love of bob hairstyles. I have always loved bobs, there’s a special place in my heart for them and there always will be, so when my current favourite hairstylist STEALTHIC released their bob length, windswept and interesting hairstyle ‘Willow’ at COLLABOR88 I. Had. To. Have. It. So I did, and I ruddy adore it. It comes with a styling hud so you can sweep your hair behind your ears or let it fall gently against your face and frankly you had me at styling HUD. I live for shiz like this. STEALTHIC makes me VERY hair happy. I basically need to save up and purchase all of their damn hairstyles because of reasons..ugh!

Another brand that makes me smile is CANDYDOLL.  I might not buy all their releases but I know enough about the brand to know that they fit my MAITREYA bod pretty darn perfectly. I don’t fatpack very often because my Lindens are such precious things BUT when I do splurge it tends to be on fatpacks that offer plenty of variety in pattern and colour, and CANDYDOLL sure does that with their releases.  Alas, I wasn’t able to fatpack this C88 beauty this time around, the ‘Amena‘ dress, so I opted for a striking black and white leopard print and I think I chose wisely. I tell you what I particularly like about it-the styling around the hands. I like the way it partially covers my MAITREYA  ‘Lara’ hands; and of course, using the HUD for the body you can adjust to make sure your fingers are visible. You can’t wear rings as they’ll poke through but I like the way it looks enough to forgo finger wear so took the plunge. There are fifty, YES FIFTY, options available in the fatpack, I know right? Ugh, I could weep!

I’m wearing another C88 item, although you can barely see it; it’s this months contribution to C88 from NYLON OUTFITTERS. Yes, we all know about my Nylon Pinkney obsession, I’m a fan-girl and I care not who knows it. Nylon and her SL/RL sister Polyester Partridge are the cool girls that I want to be best friends with; I adore their work to the point of being tempted to sell myself virtually so that I could purchase all of their wonderful treasures. ( I jest, of course, although, get this, I was actually propositioned in SECOND LIFE yesterday! I KID YOU NOT I WAS! This bloke offered me L$2500 to go back to his place and I kinda almost wish I had..I could’ve fat-packed that CANDYDOLL dress for a start and bought ALL the NYLON OUTFITTERS undies and..I’ll shush now because I’m NOT that kind of girl!)  Anyway, I love Nylon’s underwear stylings, they’re a real fave of mine and because they’re appliers I can wear them under items and let them peep through. It’s a look that I think is super effective.

I added some old favourite jewellery pieces from KIBITZ  and my all-time favourite spectacles to enhance my look and there you have it; COLLABOR88 Kitty black and white happiness.

Mood: Easter Sunday, drinking Gin as I blog and enjoying the sunshine coming through the window onto my keyboard, helping me get my writing mood on. Still wearing Factor 50, a welders helmet and asbestos suit to avoid the sun mind you...

Inspiration: Collabor88, good round this month and I’ve enjoyed it, and the track listed below…

Listening to: ‘I Need To Be Alone’ by Girl In Red.

I always have, I always will..

I always have, I always will..

There is magic all around you...As long as my arse looks south I will always, ALWAYS buy the releases that Nylon Pinkney (Nylon Outfitters) and her RL sister Polyester Partridge (Yummy) create because they never disappoint. For me, these two designers represent all that is fantastic about our virtual world. They craft such beautiful, quirky designs and they’re just so damn refreshing. The colours they use in their designs, their artistry and the way that they present their work is totally my thing.  They continually impress me.

This month at Collabor88 Nylon has released some glorious underwear. Now, for some reason in recent months ( and I know I’ve mentioned this before, but anyway) I’ve become obsessed with virtual underwear. Readers, there is so much good stuff out there, both mesh designs and body appliers,  that it’s basically booty heaven.  In real life, I’m all about simplicity when it comes to my undercrackers. I’m not the kind of lass who can afford to shop at Agent Provocateur, for example, BUT in Second Life I can live out my luxury lingerie dreams with no problems at all.

If you’re reading this: Nylon, you’re totally an enabler, just putting it out there, LOL!

The gorgeous applier undergarments for Spring which you can grab at C88, come in plain or country lace. I say plain, but they’re anything but. Delicious details abound, suggesting frilly lace and delicate pattern. The sets are Maitreya and Omega compatible, and for some reason, I decided to go for yellow. Not a colour I normally go for, but it spoke to me, and I’m so happy I invested. I feel pretty, girly, fresh and feminine.

I dunno why but these made me feel very happy. I don’t really like the idea of wandering around the grid with no knickers on under my mesh garments, and generally, I mask my lady areas so if anyone tries to cam up my skirt they see nothing. It may sound daft, but comforts me when I see lovely undies such as these on sale across the grid.  Why not give these a whirl at C88? Here’s your taxi!

(Incidentally, details of the skin, hair and cosmetics that I’m wearing can be found HERE)
