Make Mine A Makoto5

This tasty little number is Makoto5, a new public preview skin from ISSIGNOSIS (Miula Jun) and it’s just gone on sale for L$1 on Xstreetsl. This isn’t the full version of the skin apparently, but for a Linden it’s a great addition to your flesh inventory. The skintone and depth are excellent, and if you go to Xstreet you’ll see a close-up of the face, and a bodyshot which demonstrate perfectly just how good this skin is. The pack also comes with a shape especially created for this skin, but I’ve used my own shape for it and I’m rather pleased with the results…if you’d like one please IM me in world and I’ll send you a copy 🙂 To finish the look I’ve got a dress from PIXELDOLLS, hair by W&Y and bracelets from CAD & TART. I think Makoto is very pretty indeed, and I’m not letting Jez anywhere near her.  (He has a fetish for ladies of an Asian persuasion, let’s leave it at that shall we?) Got a linden? First up dear readers, HUGE grovelling apologies for my not blogging for (gulp) almost a week.
It’s my RL shifts, alas some weeks they bugger me up more than usual and I’m afraid that’s been the case here. Still, I’ll more than make up for it I can assure you! So, how have you been, missed me? Having fun with 2.0? I must confess that I’m really getting into my stride with it now. I’m not in as much of a loving minority as I was with it last week either; I’ve encountered a lot of people who are gagging for the new viewer, especially the Snowglobe version. I’m running Snowglobe 2.0 at the moment and SL is rezzing better and faster and is noticeably less laggy, so I do heartily recommend that you give it a whirl.
Of course, I eagerly await the Emerald 2.0 viewer. I think everyone is waiting for that one with baited breath, fingers crossed!
Anyway, to get us back into the swing of things, let me share a nice look I’ve just created with you. This is sort of beach-beautiful, which I’ve crafted using CURIO ‘Beach-Jellyfish 2’. I’m wearing a chest enhancing attachment with it from LINC, and the jewellery is by my favourite jewellers at the moment, $GaNKeD$. The gorgeusly summery hair is ‘Justine’ in ‘Barley’ by TRUTH, and the dress is called ‘Open Up’ in plum, by UB. But the main reason I created this was because I wanted to share the stunning butterfly face tattoo I won today at DEVOL. They have a roulette machine in store, you pay it L$50 and you receive a face tattoo selection at random. I had two attempts and got two beauties; this butterfly tattoo and a stars tattoo. I love the fact that we have a tattoo layer now in the new viewer, and it’s going to make such a difference to designers. Make-up, facial tattoos and various adornments, even hair bases can be created for this layer now and it’s really going to revolutionise some of the looks that we see on our virtual catwalks and blogs in the near future. I’m sore impressed with this look and I hope you are too..to think, we’ve only had 2.0 for just over a week as well….

  1. Do as I did, and go for a bijou frolicette at Alirium Gardens, because it’s VERY pretty.
  2. Pop over to Pixeldolls and MARVEL at the wonderful goodies on sale for a measley L$10..there’s a vast range of tops, skirts, dresses, gowns and ensembles that are perfect for every occasion. Stock up. (The dress I am wearing in the previous post is from that very sale..good eh?)
  3. Go and visit my Kittylicious! Shapes stores at Malt, Harlow and Second Style Island, because very soon I’m going to be revamping the whole range and getting rid of lots of shapes forever. Sadly I’ll also be closing one of my stores too (but more news on that later) You can click HERE for a series of headshots of my releases this year..three are already out, the remainder will be coming soon.

  7. Finally, go to  Wildfire Designs/Firestorm and buy the amazing animated watering can and flowerbox, and even better the stunning Moroccan lounger, for only L$25 each as part of the ‘L$25 Tuesdays’ event.

..and this is one I am especially loving at the moment, especially when you consider that the hair was a freebie from (W&Y) Waka and Yuki’s store opening. Alas, it’s not available in this free option anymore, but it is, as they say in these ‘ere parts, ‘a bobby dazzler’. I’m also wearing a skin from Beauty Avatar, called ‘Nefertiti’. Now, when it comes to skins I am a right fussy old bat, and if I’m honest I tend to be wary of skin offers that I hear about if the products are uber-cheap or free. It pays to wary; often the skins are ripped, not something that needs to be encouraged in-world as you’ll all be aware of by now I’m sure. So it’s with some relief that I can tell you this beautiful skin is from Beauty Avatar’s outlet store that features clothing for men and women and this range of skins at …..TEN LINDENS EACH. A full spectrum of utterly beautiful skins too, you can buy an absolute shedload due to these prices. Absolutely amazing. The most expensive item in this picture is the dress that I am wearing, it’s by a new designer in world called Muhi. This is the ‘Helfer’ dress, and it is very fine indeed..BUT it’s going to be a real struggle to fit to larger avatars, hence I’m wearing one of my slighter shapes in this. I was completely impressed by the clothing range in store, but the range is pricey; you won’t get much change out of L$400 for this dress or the other items in store. Look at it another way though, the money you’ve saved on hair and skin means you can perhaps splash out? That’s one of the joys of shopping in SL, sometimes you drop lucky and don’t need to break the bank. I think it all looks perfect, hope you like!
