SECOND LIFE is going absolutely mad bonkers  for Halloween this year, it really is.  Not that that is a bad thing, no siree! It’s fantastic and each year there are even more ghoulish treats and vampiric tricks to discover across the grid. It really is a favourite time of year for me, for obvious Witchy reasons. Halloween, or Samhain, is a very important Pagan festival and I love that SECOND LIFE is a place that celebrates it in such a vivid way.
Many group gifts are distributed at this time of year too so be sure to check out your group notices to make sure you haven’t missed out on anything! For a start, you definitely DON’T want to miss out on this lovely lingerie set from BAIASTICE.  It’s called ‘Morgana’, but is beautiful to wear at any time of the year, and is a delicate lacy ensemble comprising pants and top and also an absolutely MASSIVE witch hat too (not shown).
In fact, there’s another group gift in this picture; if you’re a member of ‘Lofty Spaces’, which is the group for fans of THE LOFT, be sure to check notices and get yourself this set of funky white pumpkin candles that spell out the word ‘Boo!’ (They’re behind my ‘Pumpkin Mice’ from PILOT, not a group gift but definitely worth getting!) As you can see I’m starting to decorate my home for Halloween, but I’m not going too crazy, yet…
The divine skin I’m sporting in this snap is yet another Shantia Soulstar special! This ZOUL CREATIONS skin is called ‘Becca’ and she’s a beauty, as you can see.
The brows are a treat on this one, with a really lovely shape and tone and of course all the eye-make ups and lip colours are simply divine. She’s currently available for purchase at THE MAKEOVER ROOM event, which is a discount event where prices are 300L per 2 skintone packages, with it costing just 50L for a make-up package eyeshadow/lipsticks,  after which she’ll appear in the main store.  Keep an eye on this blog for more looks featuring beautiful Becca over the next few posts.
The hairstyle I’m sporting is a prize from this year’s round of TAG! GACHA.  This is the prize from CLAWTOOTH; I dropped lucky and landed ‘The Good Witch’ pack in ‘Dark Ombre’ and I it’s a lovely long style that sits beautifully over the shoulders. A cracking Gacha prize and as you can imagine I was very chuffed when I got it!  Lastly, this is pose #6 from an old ELEPHANTE POSES set called, you guessed it ‘Witchcraft’ which I hope is still available!

Kitty’s Starting To Feel festive…

Sn@tch Jumper-Sorcha

I’m all about comfort, and I’m all about jumpers at this time of year. I blooming love a nice, warm, soft comfy jumper, as a recent post proves! I don’t own a Christmas Jumper in real life, but in Second Life I’ve just acquired a festive and glamourous wee number that I had to share.  Sn@tch has been in Second Life a very long time, but it continues to go from strength to strength, as the latest round of releases proves. This is the ‘Sorcha Sequinned Sweater’  by Sn@tch, and it’s rather fab. The template is one that is currently being used rather a lot on the grid, BUT I’m not complaining, because I love the baggy shape, bell sleeves and off-shoulder look.  Ivey Deschanel has textured this one in a lovely uniform knit with added sequin sparkle which adds a beautifully seasonal touch to this epic winter-wear.

Of course, Sn@tch is the home of fabulous fat-pack happy as standard, so you always get exceptional value, and there are always consistently  fabulous items to choose from. This sweater pack features ten scorching (see what I did there?) colours for a mere  L$275. You really can’t ask for better value than that can you? Be sure to try a demo; personally I always go for XL because I like my baggy look and find that the mesh fits around the shoulders better on off-shoulder items.  Whatever sparkly sweater you decide to wear this holiday season, you’ll sparkle and glow for all the right reasons, and not because you’ve had too much eggnog!

I must just mention that Elephante Poses have a rather fantastic sale on until Monday. I really adore the poses that MelissaJeanne Flores crafts. I’m using them frequently at the moment because I’m finding them to be incredibly expressive and great for capturing the look that I am after. The sale is a corker; 75% off the ENTIRE stock in store INCLUDING Gachas! I know right? Not only that BUT but joining the VIP group costs just L$50, as opposed to the normal price of L$300. Squeeee!!!

Just think you can get yourself some glorious wee poses, that go very nicely with this Sn@tch jumper, for not many pennies at all. Winning!! Here is your TP to Sn@tch, and here’s your TP to Elephante.

If you see Ivey or MJ, don’t forget to tell them that Kitty sent ya!

HORRORFEST 2013 – Something Witchy This Way Comes!

HORRORFEST 2013 – Something Witchy This Way Comes!

Snapshot_016

During my time in Second Life I’ve managed to collect some lovely Pagan and Wiccan items, and I often like to have an altar display in my home.

Alas so far I haven’t seen any made from mesh, but I do have a favourite, the PD Altar Table (Peculiar Designs By Poppy Teskat), Unfortunately for me, my Altar Table has gone walkabout from my inventory, but I do have a smaller alternative, an Altar Crate, that is just as nifty. It’s a little prim heavy, but really lovely and  I’ve situated it in my Summer House on my land so that I have a ritual space, and yes, it does get used.  It’s a real joy to host  and participate in rituals in Second Life, and places like Sacred Cauldron and Gaia Rising I’m sure will be hosting Samhain celebrations over the coming days.

But the aim of this post is to share a few of my Horrorfest goodies with you. This picture features a number of items  including a fantastic manicure  (a black nail with red, bloodied tips)  and pose from ELEPHANTE POSES.  The pose in particular is very impressive, it’s from a pack called ‘Witchcraft’ and it works perfectly in situ around the altar or cauldron.  The star of this show however is my frock.  It’s called ‘Arachne’ and is from the SENZAFINE  label.  and the Sepia colour-way that I am wearing is the 100% charity donation item, with monies of course going to The Epilepsy Therapy Project.    It’s a scrumptious frock; a beautiful shape with web pattern and faded colour towards the hem. The sleeves are generously cut and fluted, and there’s a range or colours to select from if Sepia isn’t your bag (I’m an Earth-sign, so I like to wear earthy colours in my Witchy workings).  I’m not one for role-play particularly, but I do like to wear something long and flowing when attending a moot in-world, and it strikes me that this dress is the perfect choice.  I don’t know about you, but I am totally impressed by the variety and quality of items featured at Horrorfest this year, it really is proving to be a highlight of a very busy year for events and sales in-world.
