As regular readers will know I’ve been in love with and lived in my BARNESWORTH ANUBIS ‘NYC Apartment’ skybox for an incredibly long time. I’ve virtually resided in it for a good few years; it was ‘Mi Casa’, and whenever I logged in-world I was immediately familiar with my surroundings, I felt comfortable with the layout and I felt no need to change. Until I saw the TARTE ‘Primrose Skybox’ at January’s COLLABOR88. As soon as I saw it I was compelled to have it, and have it I did with gusto! I don’t really know why it spoke to me, but I had been considering a change for a while and this was the kick-up-the-butt that I needed. I’ve always enjoyed TARTE’s work, and this ‘Primrose Skybox’ is no exception. It’s a simple design, just four large rooms with excellent texture in each, with one of the main rooms featuring a rather splendid 3D design on the ceiling. It was fancy but had a worn look to it, and I knew it would make a great residence.
So, yeah, I moved all my belongings from one skybox into the other. It felt a bit strange if I’m honest, and I was a bit sad, daft as it sounds. But it gave me the opportunity to have a tidy up and remove some elements that I wasn’t keen on in my existing abode and empowered me to add more to my surroundings too. I’ve added tons of plants for a start, and a few new pets courtesy of JIAN’s ever extensive range of creations. I’ve even gone a bit pink! Pink is a colour I struggle with immensely, although I’m starting to be able to cope with it a little more as I’m getting older, and this new home gave me the opportunity to completely revamp my bedroom, using Gacha wins from NOMI.
My living room and kitchen are pretty much the same, as I’m pretty content with them and have a severe lack of imagination when it comes to revamping their layouts, so I just lifted them from my old place and added them, nae bother. Of course, there are cats everywhere, and cat-related themes festoon the place, but what else would you expect from me? As virtual homes go I am really chuffed with it; I feel settled and I’ve always considered my skybox residence as my sanctuary. Just logging in and virtually slobbing out fills me with a lot of happiness, which is what it’s all about really, isn’t it?
If I had to make some changes to the skybox I would have liked a texture change option for the floors and walls; although the textures used are lovely it would have been nice to have a few decorating choices. I would also have liked an extra room to make into a dedicated bathroom too; I know these are things that some people do themselves but I’m not a creator and I’m not confident doing that kind of alteration myself. But all things considered, these are just minor quibbles; this place feels like home already and I am loving filling it with my junk and look forward to many happy hours spent here.

Kitty’s Luxebox Review: March 2017
This month’s LUXEBOX is really a bit of a corker. Being on a limited budget, I’ve had to be careful with the subscription box purchases that I make in-world ( the only one that I ABSOLUTELY must have is Powder Pack. Oh, and Bishbox! Argh, see that’s two already!) so I haven’t purchased a Luxebox for a few months, but I’m so glad I have done this month! Why? Well, watch the videos to find out.
In Part One, I talk about the releases from Ison, Azuchi, Foxes and Tres Blah. It’s professionally done, as all of my videos are.. ( No it isn’t, it’s an absolute farce but I care not a jot, I have so much fun doing these!) (I’ll add parts two and three once they’re uploaded!)
Here’s Part Two, where I try on Stories & Co, Teefy, Lamb and Moon’s contributions (they’re all rather fab!)
In Part Three I talk about the builds from Tarte and Scarlet Creative, and the lambs from Mish Mish that are squeeable! I think it was a really great Luxebox this month, what did you think?
20Twenty: Milk Tea is ‘Just Darling’
Another stonking bargain courtesy of the November round of Twenty20 and it’s one for applier lovers everywhere, especially with a juicy 20% discount!
These stockings from MILK TEA are a real find; they come with matching pants and to the rear, just below the lace, are delicate little bows in matching fabric. They’re super pretty and well worth your time checking out: as you can see they look pretty awesome when worn with this DEAD DOLLZ ‘Shierak’ cardigan and see through dress, available from the mainstore. I don’t usually go for anything white, but I couldn’t resist this. It’s clean, bright and fresh and looks gorgeous with these stockings, don’t you think? (Incidentally MILK TEA produced another favourite of mine recently too, a label well worth checking out!)
Because my look was already verging on the virginal I went for simple, side-swept hair in a red shade. This is a free gift from the PREMIUM ONLY EVENT; the STATIC ‘Angelica’ hair in Red, and to complement it perfectly I teamed it with my favourite brows of the moment, NAR MATTARU’s ‘Power Brows’, also in Natural redhead.
This is a perfect look for chilling out in my skybox, which I’m getting ready for Christmas now. That said, I couldn’t resist this TARTE ‘Lighted Tapestry’ in Berry from the birthday round (it’s a belter!) of THE FANTASY COLLECTIVE. Here are all your details, happy shopping!

Witchy Wednesdays: Twig Star Light Group Gift From Tarte
As symbols go I’m probably right in saying that there’s nothing more prominent than a Pentagram for declaring your witchy inclinations.
Of course, a Pentagram doubles up as a star too and oftentimes you can use star shapes as a way of subtly declaring your beliefs. This Group Gift from Tarte is, of course, completely fitting for the festive season, but once Yule has ended you could keep this light glowing as a focal point in your virtual home. It’s really lovely isn’t it? The group is free to join too, so it’s a proper treat (as are most things from Tarte) It’s difficult to find inspired mesh pieces to decorate your witchy abode in Second Life, but I think this is an absolute must-have and the fact that it’s made from twigs adds an extra bit of elemental oomph.
Be sure that you don’t miss out on this! Click HERE to visit Tarte, join the group and check the notices for this fabulous gift.
