Father, forgive me…

Father, forgive me…

..for being such a clothes-whore. I can’t help it!
Ok, enough with the pretensions of Catholicism, as you all know I’m most definitely *not* a Catholic, but I do have a deep respect for the religion despite their tendencies towards burning my kin at the stake and concealing the odd kiddy-fiddler. In fact, I love churches of all denominations; I don’t think there’s a more astounding symbol of dedication to your faith than a flying buttress or two. In real-life I enjoy exploring cathedrals and churches, and we’re fortunate enough in Second Life to have many fine examples of religious buildings to enjoy. In fact, I don’t think that there’s any major belief-system on the planet without representation in-world!
This is one of my favourite places of worship and I have mentioned it briefly before. It’s the Basilica Cardinale and is beautifully and lovingly created, and evokes the true feeling of being in a place of reverence and pontification. It is beautifully decorated and kitted out with everything you would expect to see in a Catholic church, with a High-Altar and many different pose balls to allow you to kneel and pray or even partake of confession in the wee booth tucked away in a dark corner..
Kneeling and praying is somewhat out of the question for me however, due to the outfit I’m sporting. It’s a one day only special from Khush, available at X-Street for the bargain price of L$99. I may look like a good little Italian-Catholic girl in this picture (that was the look I was after anyway) but I doubt I’d be allowed into any church wearing the latex pants that you can just see in the image below…ahem.

As I was putting this look together I happened across the latest LAQ skin release, and a picture was formed in my mind… By adding some ostentatious bangles, black nail-polish and a gorgeous necklace from HOD I’ve created a polished, street-wise look, perfect for the Italian-American girl gone very bad indeed.
Oh, and the shape is a bit of a stunner too, even if I say so myself.. but I’ll tell you all about that later. So here you have it, bargain outfit and a cracking way to wear it. Badda Bing, Badda Boom!

Look at my amazing…

Look at my amazing…

Skin and hair!! What did you think I was going to say? Perverts….

There’s a number of things that I want to share with you in this picture. First up is the amazing skin from Tuli that everyone and their aunt are currently prattling on about, and rightly so. It’s called ‘Eva'(Best said in the style of Wall-E if you ask me) and as you can see it is a *stunner*. Tuli took some time away from the grid and returned with not only an amazing new sim design but this truly exceptional skin set. ‘Eva’ features all the goodies that you would expect from a Tuli skin; two cleavage options, a vast range of 7 skin tones to choose from, starting with the the very palest Gothic tone to a gorgeously toasted brown, and each makeup includes 3 eyebrow choices. Fatpacks have a 50% discount and the make-ups are to die for. This skin had me swooning as soon as I saw it, and I wouldn’t normally have been in a position to treat myself except my beloved very generously treated me..so thank you babes xx In this photo I’ve teamed the skin with my ‘Kittycurve’ shape and as you can see it looks *fabulous*, and it’s made to look even more special by the fantastic hair that I am sporting. This stylish bob is from Zero Style, a store that I really don’t frequent enough. I love the colour and the detail on the cut is very realistic indeed. Normally I’m a Truth and Magika girl, but hairstyles such as this one really make me rethink my options. It’s glorious, and I really do suggest that you take a trip to the store and just buy a shedload of demos and try all of them on..not only is it super fun, you will defo find something that blows you away. Finally, the pose that I am wearing is from Striking Poses, which is sadly closing down. The stock in store has been heavily discounted and there are hundreds of poses to choose from so if you like posing as much as I do get some Lindens and go and spend the afternoon throwing some shapes around. I can’t tell you how long the sale is on for, because Zelly is selling the sim (Harlow) so really you should get down to the store asap and treat yourself to some happy. Go on..admit it, you were looking at my boobies weren’t you?

Sneaky Peak…Sassy Six

Sneaky Peak…Sassy Six

Here’s one of the new shapes that I’ve been working on.

This shape is called ‘Six’. I’m wearing a Curio skin for this shot (they’re my default choice so you’ll have to forgive my bias!) and the dress is a new find that I discovered at a store called ‘Sassy!’

It’s a lovely store and sells an amazing range of sexy wee dresses and separates. I can NEVER have enough sexy dresses in SL, and Sassy! sells  items at really good prices with great detailing (such as wrinkles in the fabric; it always helps to add a little authenticity) Expect to see more of them featured on here.
I finished the look with fabulous arm warmers from A&M and hair by Truth…

I hope you like ‘Six’ and I’ll be featuring even more of the new shapes and ways to wear them very soon.

Bat for these lashes….

Bat for these lashes….

Now I’ve had a Second Life frustration for the past couple of years that has driven me often to utter despair, and that has been the correct attachment of  PRIM LASHES. For some unfathomable reason, despite my reading countless blog entries and watching numerous tutorials I have NEVER been satisfied with the results and have thrown my toys out of the pram on numerous occasions because f my sheer prim-lash ineptitude. I’ve also wasted a fair few bob on prim lashes to boot…and they aren’t cheap. Now, with the advent of 2.0 I can kind of breathe a sigh of relief, because many content creators are using the super cool new tattoo layer to create beautiful designs for the face, as well as make-ups and EYELASHES! Happy dance AHOY!!! Strawberry Singh posted a STUNNING portrait on her blog earlier and the lashes featured in her piece were quoted as coming from Stellar designs..so off I trotted…and there they were. I am CHUFFED to pieces, no more faffing about just wear them and job’s a carrot. You can buy individually, but I suggest splashing out L$325 and purchasing the four-pack, which features basic, everyday, flashy and emo varieties.  You can try a demo, I did, and that was it, I was hooked. Go and see for yourself, they may not be your thing, you may prefer your prim lashes(clever sod), but for those of us that struggled, the very least I can say is go and try these.

Oh, and an appeal to content creators on the grid…MORE lashes, MORE facial tattoos, MORE make up..in fact MORE EVERYTHING using this new layer cos I LOVE IT!
