MBA: I love a bit of VINYL!

Rough spots_002Well, I do, and it’s pleased me no end that there was an upsurge in sales of vinyl records and traditional record decks over the past few months. There’s something very comforting about listening to music from an LP; it sounds ‘warmer’ and the occasional crackle and pop as the needle bounces in and out of the grooves just adds something to the whole experience.

In-world, you can get the same warm, fuzzy feeling from VINYL clothing.  I love the designs that are available in-store and I’m a huge fan of the brand.  It’s all about the details for me, and even something as simple as this ‘Beal’ dress (and trust me, it is incredibly simple, in fact we’re talking ‘catch-your-death’ short!) features plenty of them.  Great shape and texture are a feature across the entire VINYL range and ‘Beal’ is no exception, but it’s what you can do with this dress that counts.  It’s perfect fodder for embellishment, and I added my all-time favourite jacket by EMERY, along with these absolutely essential FRI.DAY heels to make the perfect outfit for dancing!

Short, sassy and simple-is it me or has this been the absolute best round of MESH BODY ADDICTS BI-MONTHLY yet?

honeybear_001Sometimes writing a blogpost is a doddle, other times it can be really hard. Occasionally I’ll put an outfit together that in my head works beautifully, but on the page..urgh. In truth it’s often the case that the really simple looks turn out to be the best, and that is definitely the case here. I love the way this look turned out: Yes, it’s another one featuring a Witchy theme but hey, it is the season after all!

My look takes its cue from the cracking jersey I’m sporting from MUKA at THE SEASONS STORY (an absolute must visit guys, I kid you not!)  and is further enhanced by this absolutely banging hat that I won in a Gacha machine at REMARKABLE OBLIVION. It’s well worth your time dropping by the store and throwing some Lindens at the machine to end up with a bonnet that looks radically different to your usual pointy black hat. Last but not least I decided to add a co-ordinating lipstick layer from ADORED, one of my absolute favourite cosmetic brands in-world.  You’ll find some cracking eye make-ups and lipstick layers there for other brands of mesh-mush, not just the PXL SWEET LIPS that I myself covet..which if you replace the ‘t’ with an ‘n’ turns into a VERY Witchy word indeed! HUZZAH!

Another day, another Witchy look! In this shot I’m trembling with fear and spellcasting in a gloomy cottage with my familiar companions.  All I have to protect me are my fabulous fashion choices (Ha! See what I did there?), but fortunately I look so awesome that I’m well protected! I’m sporting an absolutely essential suede effect halter-neck fress from CYNFUL http://cynfulclothing.com/which will be an exclusive at the MESH BODY ADDICTS event. It’s absolutely perfect, brilliant for dressing up as elegant evening wear or dressing down with boots and a jacket.  CYNFUL is a very long-established brand in-world that doesn’t disappoint and I’ll be featuring this ensemble again in a different colour way later this week, if you need anymore conviciong that you need this beautiful frock in your collectioon! I’m also sporting the beautiful blonde DOE ‘Grand High Witch’ that I won during my TAG! GACHA excursions; I love the long style and the fact that it includes a hat is also a bonus:) Heels

My shoes are also a bit special too, these nice chunky heels will also be available at the MESH BODY ADDICTS event, and I particularly like the texture and the bar embellishment on the heels too.  Cracking pair of shoes, Kitty likes!

Halloween is fast approaching, like you needed me to point that out, so be sure to check out the Destinations Guide to keep on top of all the spooktacular goings on that are all the rage in-world at the moment.  It’s bursting with legions of them. And zombies, obviously.
In fact, Second Life is pretty much in full on excitement mode in every single way now right on through to New Year.  Halloween sets the spark alight and leads us into Thanksgiving and then onwards to Christmas and the New Year without really taking a breath, and as it does so the grid comes alive with all sorts of amazing content.It’s a good time to be an avatar, so I’m going to be sharing Halloween inspired looks and stuff and things with you through the rest of the month and also pay heed to some of the amazing events that are afoot. The majority of which I can’t get into (unsurprising when you consider that THE EPIPHANY made a whopping THREE MILLION LINDENS in their first day, I shit you not!) So I’ve been settling for other events while I wear out my ‘Get Me In’ Hud (other HUDS are available) THE COSMOPOLITAN SALES ROOM then was my first port of call for a mooch around. 
Occasionally I’ll visit and find the odd thing that is very relevant to my needs, and this time I found an absolutely corking wee number to dance around my skybox in! It’s the ‘Oriental Nights’ bodysuit from a brand called MILK TEA, and is multi- applier compatible and available in six smashing colour options. So of course, I opted for black.
It works really well; perfect for lounging around in but equally easy to dress up and dare I say it, even make a tad edgy.  To do that I added the amazing ‘Bastet’ Jacket by PIXICAT from the last round of THE ARCADE.  I also added some seriously gruesome eyes from IKON, a favourite BURLEY hairstyle and my N-CORE ‘Alexandra’ boots.  To finish I added the ever amazing ‘Steking Series 5’ ears by MANDALA, and there you have it, Kitty O’Ghoul at your service! MWAHAHAHAH!Evil cackles ahoy!
