Sometimes you read something that makes you go all giddy and grin like a loon, much to everyone’s annoyance. That’s been the story of my day so far.

l’m especially giddy today, in fact I’m smiling like a Cheshire cat on acid as we speak! Why I hear you ask? Well, Kat Alderson (who runs Third Life Interiors which I reviewed previously and keep visiting because it’s chuffing wonderful) mentioned to me that her ‘Stackpole Collection’ is named after a rather esteemed author, Michael A Stackpole.

Now, if you aren’t familiar with the name then you may be familiar with some of his work, for Michael is an especially prolific writer. Reading his list of works is like looking through a bunch of old photographs and spotting old forgotten friends in the background..the guy is a veritable genius. I’m especially impressed by his work with Dark Horse Comics. Comic book geekery is something that I’ve gotten into only recently but I’m a signed up member of that particular club now, thanks to my beloved Jez.

For someone who only writes as a hobby any compliment is always well received, but when it comes from a published, award-winning, New York Times best-selling author it’s like winning an Olympic gold a squillion times over….

So imagine how I felt when I read THIS
