Kitty Goes RAVING!!!! (Again!)

So the Pet Shop Boys ‘Electric album came out this week, and it’s getting rave reviews. I utterly adore it, but there’s one track in particular that really resonates with me…

The track ‘Vocal’ features a video compiled of footage taken at early 1990’s raves. You know it’s 25 years since the second Summer Of Love? Scary, really scary. Anyway, to celebrate the album and the fact that I found the most amazing dreddy hair at Hair Fair 2013 I constructed this New-Rave look:

Fifty Linden Friday is BACK!

Yup, I’m talking about Fifty Linden Friday and it’s back with a bang, crash and wallop even bigger and better than before:)

(Happy sigh) It’s as though it never went away, and it was a real joy to see that the crowds were out in force earlier as I toured the vendors for all fifteen participants. I’m delighted to say that the quality of the goods hasn’t diminished one jot.

The lamp and frame from Meshworks, the mesh boots from Deco, the totally gorgeous bob that I’m wearing in both pictures from Wasabi Pills and the make-up from Adore & Abhor all made my list. (I’m wearing the eyeliner in this shot, looks great doesn’t it?) I also treated myself to the plum babytux lingerie from One Bad Pixel, but an absolute MUST BUY this week has to be Glitterati’s amazing photo prop, featuring 5 poses which come to life when you add shadows. Astonishing, and it meant I could make this amazing wee picture below:

See this skin? Yes, this one? ( Kitty jumps up and down pointing excitedly) It’s called ‘Blood Lust’ and costs L$69 TODAY ONLY!

Isn’t it astonishingly pretty? It’s a veritable banquet on a stick of skin-happy, and it’s a treat from Mango Mango. The skin is only available in the pale tone but comes with both freckled and unfreckled versions plus a bonus lighter version of the makeups too. The eyeshadow is just so darn pretty and the lips are simply lush..it’s a head turner to be sure.

In this picture I’ve teamed it with today’s bargain from my Kittylicious store at NuRepublik, my ‘Kittylicious-Wednesday’ shape which costs just L$50 today only!
(Note, I’ve left ‘Kittylicious-Tuesday’ on sale at L$50 too because I was a bit late putting it out yesterday..oopsy!) and I’m wearing hair from the inventory library (I love this style!) which is obviously free…

I’ve accessorised with facial jewellery from HOD, everyday lashes from STELLAR pearls from DECO and the most sublime negligee which I bought from AQUA which is just across the way from Mango Mango and sells amazing clothing at stupidly good prices…please go and check them out!

I’ve gone all scholastic in this look featuring a rather delicious skin from Mango Mango which costs just L$69 today!! It’s called Vamp and is absolutely stunning, I can’t actually get over how beautiful the skin is for the money, and you’re going to see me wearing it a lot in the coming posts.

I’m also wearing an outfit that to be honest I wouldn’t normally wear, but I actually cannot resist this blouse with it’s funky ruffle and the high waisted skirt. They’re by 5th & Oxford and they are just divine, both the ‘Jori’ skirt and the blouse are available in a myriad of colours and make for lots of mix ‘n’ match happy. I think they look perfect with the glasses and hair and the whole image is very preppy. Right, you’d better have an apple waiting for me or there’s going to be trouble!
